21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened - everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied. It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives through all.

July 9th Sunday is my 21st birthday, making me a lagitamate adult, I have been in journeys and alpha course and been to Just 10 in creely. I have accepted Jesus into my life by saying those lines many times from the heart, In other words I know whats involved. I want to be a man so to speak, I beleave my sins are forgiven by Jesus dying on the cross, I havent had any spiritual experiences but...

Im getting to the question, simular to my last- If I feel that I am ready to take on the responsibility, eg live by the 10 commandments, living a virtuous life, praying and reading the bible etc...

Question- Do I need permission by the Minister/ Priest to tell me if im ready or Is it my deccision to do it ( be Baptized ) when I think Im ready? What do you think?

I'm trying to figure out if I actually learned anything from the Public School System. As an adult, I now realize how important the things have become, that "they" failed to teach me. I had to practically teach myself all over again! Through the internet alone, I've learned more things than all my years at at public school combined! Did you get dumbed down by the system?

Look how they behave on TV , they are red in the face shouting " In the name of Jesus"on everything! they always faint when they pray and act like they heal everyone. They really make Christianity look bad in general. They are greedy asking people to send money to pray for us!

...no one can seem to pull them together but you? Or are your beliefs like like a sniper rifle, quick to the point to kill and show your superior power? Or do your beliefs sit and wait patiently like an inviting warm surf and beach that refreshes the soul?

I've seen a lot more that churches as well as the people who run them write more and more books and sell T-shirts, and all kinds of stuff these days. Has Church just become a kinda WalMart phenonmenon, were the soul is saved between the coffee cups, novels, and the ocassional CD-ROM for home spritual growth?
