The same reason drug addictions are prevalent today. Nobody really wants to know all that information that's being thrown at them from every conceivable angle. They are numbing out. Some people have gotten so good at it they are starting to convert others to their way of thinking (or not thinking). And watch out if you happen to have a moment of clarity! You will be attacked ferociously by the walking dead. If you happen to be awake right now and are reading this, here are some ways to recognize the Shepard's of the sheep 1) any thoughts you may have are looked upon as sinful thereby making you wrong, period 2) they rely heavily upon an ancient text that has been rewritten so many times to suit individual tastes and needs that it probably doesn't even contain a trace of what it originally had 3) since most of them are illiterate they need an egomaniac to tell them what the above mentioned text says and they usually throw their own spin in so they can have job security 4) continuously threaten you with fire and claim authority by a great champion of the people who will love you unconditionally as long as you live your life the way they tell you to. These people are dangerous. They are to be avoided at all costs! They will beat you down with insane illogical rantings until you give in. Stay away from them.

Many reasons: some are just climbing inside their own heads to escape reality; some may be mentally ill and unable to grasp the concept of their existence and some people are just self centered jerks who don't give a damn about anyone or anything.

I would earnestly warn you against trying to find out the reason for and explanation of everything ... to try and find out the reason for every thing is very dangerous and leads to nothing but disappointment and dissatisfaction , unsettling your mind and in the end making you miserable .
I didnt believe that but after searching for some reasons in reality ... and find out them now i feel disappointment and dissatisfaction
