25:11"When two men fight together, one against the other, and the wife of one of them comes near to save her husband from the hand of he who strikes him, and puts forth her hand and seizes him by the private parts.

HAHA you fools! no matter what you say about fighting or killing enemies and tyrants in the Quran, this Bible verse is about CHOPPING THE HAND of a woman who tries to save her husband! HUH? you speak about confining a whore to her home, and then only if she testifies that its true. There is nothing in the Quran that compares to CHOPPING a poor womans hand off JUST FOR HELPING HER HUSBAND!!

correlation cant see the difference between punishing a CRIME, (fornication, adultry, burglary etc.) and CHOPPING HANDS OF A WIFE FOR HELPING HUSBAND who's being beaten to death. NOTHING of what you wrote from Quran can be compared to that! HAHA

NO! "arewethereyet" The fabrications in the Bible are NOT the laws of Moses. Nor do we belive that all of that was inspired by God. Much of it is made up. So your answer is a loud emphatic NO! we do not

I see the difference, asker. If you are not from the Middle East and would be interested in learning more of womens' lives in Saudi Arabia, you should read the book I cited in the source. It was so difficult to put down, and very enlightening. I'm glad I read it.

The Qu'ran regarding women who break the Islamic law against sex crimes:

Sura IV, 15
If any of your women are guilty of lewdness, take the evidence of four witnesses from against you, against them; and if they testify, confine them to houses until death do claim them.

THIS DOESN'T MEAN THE "GUILTY PARTY TESTIFIES - IT IS THE TESTIMONY OF THE FOUR WITNESSES - It means she will be put into a completely darkened room with nothing at all and nobody will ever speak to her again. Food and water will sometimes be pushed under/through the door. Death could take many years.

The Qu'ran regarding men who break the Islamic law against sex crimes:

Sura IV, 16
If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, leave them alone.

CRIMES OF HUDUD (crimes denounced by God):
they include theft, drinking of alcohol, defamation of Islam, dornication, and adultry:
guilty of theft - pay a fine, improsnment, amputation of right hand
guilty of drinking or doing drugs - receive 80 lashes
guilty of defamation of Islam - usually flogging
guilty of fornication - flogging (usual number is 40 lashes)
guilty of adultry - if the guilty party is married - death by stoning, beheading, or shooting

CRIMES OF QUISAS (crimes against a victim or his family):
The family of the victim has the right to retaliate and decide the sentence. Generally "an eye for an eye" type of thing, but sometimes a monetary fine.

You will find some similar things in the law of Moses throughout.

However, if I'm not mistaken, it's in the Quran, Bible and Torah. It was laws designed for the community under Moses at that time in an age where the Israelites were slaves and there was no such thing as actual law and order. So in order to keep things in check in that era, as they were nomads and also to keep the peace, such laws were put in place.
There are other ways to save your husband i.e. using a rolling pin, screaming for help, KICKING him in that spot. To seize him there is most likely indication of something else.

Besides, doesn't the Quran suggest the same thing for stealing? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what a radical Islamic party in my country is trying to push for.

*Edit* I notice that you seem bent on bashing everyone with ideas to the contrary...

These are the laws of Moses, which I understand is also a part of the teachings of Islam? Then therefore is not this a part of your religion as well?

And it does seem to me that this is a logical law. If the population is small, every err, private part, is important for population of the species. Not only that, but it is a low thing to do, to interrupt an honorable fight between men, especially by grabbing him in that particular spot.

Were the laws harsh back then? Oh yes, as would your laws be if you lived in that time period. The entire land was a rough place to live, and if you did not follow a strict way of living, you and your kind would not survive. Most of the laws of Moses were practical in nature and needed at that time.

Is it true that 26 chapters of the Quran deal with jihad, a fight able-bodied believers are obligated to join (Surah 2:216), and that the text orders Muslims to "instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliever" and to "smite above their necks" (8:12)?

Is the "test" of loyalty to Allah not good acts or faith in general, but martyrdom that results from fighting unbelievers (47:4) — the only assurance of salvation in Islam (4:74; 9:111)?

Are the sins of any Muslim who becomes a martyr forgiven by the very act of being slain while slaying the unbelievers (4:96)?

And is it really true that martyrs are rewarded with virgins, among other carnal delights, in Paradise (38:51, 55:56; 55:76; 56:22)?

Are those unable to do jihad — such as women or the elderly — required to give "asylum and aid" to those who do fight unbelievers in the cause of Allah (8:74)?

Does Islam advocate expansion by force? And is the final command of jihad, as revealed to Muhammad in the Quran, to conquer the world in the name of Islam (9:29)?

Is Islam the only religion that does not teach the Golden Rule (48:29)? Does the Quran instead teach violence and hatred against non-Muslims, specifically Jews and Christians (5:50)?

Bob, you're gonna check God on looking out for the family jewels! I'd think you'd second that emotion. NOW HOW do you think we've gotten this far with so much respect for the nu!$? It all goes back to that ONE woman who was made an example thousands of years ago.

God be exalted, revered and glorified.

The bible is full of that type of thing. Most Christians don't want to read it, they just want to thump on the cover of the book and tell you how wrong you are for questioning. Excellent question, but boy are you gonna get told off.

We no longer live by the "Old" testament. Nor do we attend the killings in Italy. And most of us know the new laws.
