The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened - everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied. It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives through all.

Yes God is always helping us. I mean everyone has to be sad someday and cry and even be depress but what God does he give you force to stand up and see that hope has never to be lost.. You know he never closed a door without opening the other one.. Sometimes people just can't see that..

As a "born again believer" in God, and Jesus the Savior, I do believe He has a plan for us and is there for us to guide us in the right direction to fulfill his Will. Even when bad things happen to us, it is a push in the rump to remind us who is the Boss, because God is a god of pure love, he wants only good for his children.

Yes, your right....

Missionary statesman Eric Liddell, best known as the hero of the movie Chariots of Fire, has written, "Circumstances may appear to wreck our lives and God's plans, but God is not helpless among the ruins. Our broken lives are not lost or useless. God's love is still working. He comes in and takes the calamity and uses it victoriously, working out his wonderful plan of love."

This is the mystery of Sovereignty: God works in spite of evil. No, he works through evil to accomplish his will. "He permits evil," Augustine said, "to transform it into greater good."

That's a good story! It reminds me of the story of the young husband who had become a convert to Christianity and his old friends came around one day to try and get him to come back and hang around with them again.

They mocked his faith and said to him "You don't really believe all that stuff that's written in the Bible do you? I mean, do you really believe that Jesus turned water into wine?"

He told then that he definitely did believe it because at his house Jesus had turned beer into furniture and car payments!

Yes but for our ultimate good not always physical. Many believers have been tortured and even killed for their faith with no deliverance in this life but God has used even this for good.
