I'm trying to figure out if I actually learned anything from the Public School System. As an adult, I now realize how important the things have become, that "they" failed to teach me. I had to practically teach myself all over again! Through the internet alone, I've learned more things than all my years at at public school combined! Did you get dumbed down by the system?

I know what you mean!

I was on the honor roll and completely clueless

When i began college and work (to put myself thru college) I realized that i wasn't as smart as I thought.....i had to study....I had to study just to keep up with conversations at work!

I have spent more time in the library and on my computer catching up on things i should already know than i have doing anything else!

bless your heart!

Yes, I am the victim of the St. Louis Public School system. A few years ago we got a new superintendent and he just out of nowhere, started to change things to his way. Now they're considering closing my school (Cleveland NJROTC) and moving us to a different location. The problem is that there's only 2 months left before school starts and they haven't decided where to move us. Plus they are doing this without considering the effects it will have on the teachers, parents, and especially the students. I believe there is no say in it for everyone it affects, instead these rich people come in from Chicago, take over, act like they've been there forever and collect their money and leave.
They say it will cost $20 million to repair the school, and yet he's spending much more than that to build a house in Mississippi.
I believe that the students should be able to put stuff like this to a vote.

my school was not public..but it followed all the public rules in my country...the difference was only about taking high level English & taking subjects like math & science in english...the result was a student who don't know english...why?...everything was taking the right direction till middle school..in the secondary school we were forced to study the english book used by public school...this book was a disaster...it made us forget all about real english...then we forgot the english because we didn't use it after school....(all the public colleges education here is arabic)...exept for faculty of medicine & pharmacy...so i consider my self a victim of the egyptian education system...but i am doing my best now to be more qualified in english...

First coach the faculty gadget on the thanks to coach it little ones first and the added 2 month gained't matter in any respect.

No, I'm a victim of Catholic/Christian school, and their unrealistically high standards. Consider yourself lucky.
