Sometimes, if there's a tangent not directly related to the question but the person might be interested in hearing. Usually, they are.

I've also written to confirm what someone said - such as a racist who advocated violence against illegal immigrants - before reporting them. It's best to be sure before making the accusation....

I have never sent anyone a message but if others e-mail me I will answer. I do check some profiles but not really a lot of them.
