You didn't get the memo huh?
Most things in the Bible are metaphores, except those things that help to have feelings of bigotry.
Moving mountains = metaphore
Hating Gay guys = take literally
Talking snake = metaphore
World created in 6 days = take literally
Hate Lesbian women = metaphore
World is 6000 years old = take literally
God = metaphore
Noah's Ark = take literally
i can mail you the whole list if needed, it helped me a lot in understanding the bible.

#1. You don't believe "IN" Jesus.
#2. You do everything within your power to defeat God and Jesus (hence you follow an antichrist spirit)
#3. Jesus said if you truly believe in him, you would practice what he taught. The Apostle Paul reiterates this time and again.
#4. An old timer spoke to the mountain that stood in front of his Cabin.., "Be thou removed". Every morning he would come out and watch for that mountain to be removed. His neighbors gossiped and called him old and demented. So he died of old age and everyday believing that mountain would be removed. The next year - men came in with explosives and little by little demolished that mountain making way for new roads and businesses.
Moral of the story is, his faith moved that mountain. Secular thinking says - BAH! It was just progress and it had to happen sooner or later. Faith! You neither understand it nor can you.
I love you man, but you're as blind as a bat. Which may explain the Monopoly money. :-)

A word of causion when trying to understand the Bible. It is a unhealthy practise to look only at one verse and try to understand it. The Bible devinely written is to be studied in total with prayer and faith. This scripture along with others would indicated that one could just apply it unconditionally. That is not true! Simply, we MUST recognize that God's Will is first. We must look and study the only true example, Jesus Christ. He is the living Word of God and He will provide the answers. He said and says, Not my will but thou oh Lord. In the garden just before his betrayal, did he not say "never the less, not my will but thy will be done. So if we apply our faith to move a mountain, receive our healing or any other manisfestation of God's love, it must be submitted to God's Will. That is why mountains sometimes do not move or people do not get healed. By the way, mountain does not necessiarily mean a physical mass. It could be a situation, such as at work, in the family, financial etc. We apply our faith and trust that if it is God's will the mountains will be moved as we pray. Remember, Jesus is the way, the light and truth and all others including this writer are subject to errors and continued learning. GBA God Bless All

So, you've faithfully packed your lunch and tent and GONE to the mountainside and TRIED to move it, faithfully believing? Ye of little faith, TRY a little harder. You also want to be assured that there is a sea nearby ~ this could have been your problem in the past. If there is no sea, the mountain likely HAS been moving, you just didn't notice it because it only moved back a slight and silent amount. You're gonna need that sea to hear the big splash. Got all that buddy? Let me know how it turns out. Be sure to pack trail mix.

I am sorry but I don't see in your quoted words that it says "If one believes in Jesus he can move mountains". I see it said that if one has faith and doubt not [I say unto you if you have faith and doubt not]. It does not say faith in Jesus. I am more inclined to read it as faith that you can move that mountain you do desire to move and you do not doubt it.
I read in your words and of course I can be wrong, a defeated attitude before you start. You say already that you have never moved a mountain and that you can't move mountains. Why not start with the words "I think I can move the mountain then talk to your God to increase your faith and to remove your doubt. Before you do that though I suggest you stand clear of that mountain because it might in moving start a big earth quake or a tidal wave.
I got a final question. Which mountain are you trying to move anyway. I hope it is not part of the mountains I have in my view from the big window in my home. Please don't spoil my view OK.

Believing in Jesus evidently isn't the criteria for moving mountains. He said, "if you have faith and doubt not". I don't know anyone (including me) who can say that honestly. Hence, no mountain removal being done. At least not yet.
Oh, and MC hummer. Faith didn't level those buildings. Hatred did.

If your trying to move a mountain, just to attract cheap publicity, then I have serious doubts you'd be able to do so. But if you are trying to do the same, in alignment to God's will, then you'd be better placed to succeed. All the best in your quest to move mountains....btw are you following Jesus' teachings about prayer as well? Jesus, though He was fully God, prayed whole nights, are you doing the same?

There devil dosne't believe in Jesus he knows Jesus exists so what makes you any more special than him and I dont' see him moving any mountains and he is the prince of the earth right now. It's all about God's will you do these things if it is his will to do them you are just a conduit.

It means your faith to jesus must be stronger than moving mountains. Imagine the strength of your faith. Powerful. When your faith is like that, you can seriously move mountains.

Jesus said that if we have faith as little as a seed, we can move mountains. We can't move mountains because our faith is less than a seed.
