according to hindu philosophy v have both male & female energy in us , same as ying & yang , male energy represents more achieving tendencies & female energy represents caring & recognition type, male has normally dominant male energy , so to balance it he can do it through yoga, meditation, tai chi, zen gardening etc
females have dominantly more female energy which is more for security,so they have to learn to balance it by yoga, meditation, martial atrs(aiki jujutsu)etc
or both of them can do kundalini pranayama(ancient indian breathing excercise)

I've heard that you only have to be maybe like 1/16 or something but that you have to have an ancestor on the Baker's Roll already. Could a person prove they're part Cherokee and become part of the tribe without having an ancestor on the Roll? I don't know all the details about all my ancestors, so it would be difficult for me.

i was just reading some questions and i came across this a few times. someone was married and then decided he was gay. someone was gay and then, since he wanted a family, he became straight.
it is perfectly possible for someone to be so brainwashed by the world at large that they don't allow themselves to realize they're gay until after the wedding, when they find what they'd been missing for years. it is also perfectly possible for a man who is gay to decide he wants to have kids and chose to go into a traditional heterosexual relationship to get them. it doesn't make him any less gay. i thought this was obvious. why can't people grasp it?

yes, i know every day is a miracle and your children are miracles, but for the purposes of this question, i don't care. i'm talking about otherwise unexplainable things, not like "it's a miracle i passed my final!" i'd really like to see how many people have had an experience they believe was miraculous.

Kardecist Spiritism not only claims to be a logical successor of Christianity, but also to be a truer form of Christianity, purified from unnecessary elaborations and additions.

Unlike previous doctrines which would have been filtered by the imperfections of the flesh, the teachings collected in his books would be closer to the truth God commanded His messengers (Enlightened Spirits) to transmit to mankind.

a born again christian friend of mine is very opposed to this and i a baptist woman who came to a healing group i was attending was instructed by her peers to leave if there was any chanting. is this common? i thought a lot of christians chanted prayers and things. i've always understood chanting to be a way to calm the mind to open yourself up to hear god's voice. i heard a lot of monks used to chant, but then that became forbidden. if some chrisitians do still oppose chanting, do you think that it began in old times when the church didn't want individuals connecting with god directly and instead through their own officials so they could have power over what they should believe? for those of you who oppose chanting, would you also disapprove of chanting jesus' name or is chanting altogether not acceptable?

Can a scientific thinker be religious as well? Is there any scientific proof for the validity of any religion or are religious beliefs irrational? If most things can be explained by science, then why do most people believe in the supernatural elements of various religions?

I'm writing a paper for my human sexuality class and was curious to find out what people's thoughts were. I personally am ok with all of the above, but to a certain extent. What's your thoughts?

THANKS!

Say you meet someone totally wonderful they are thoughtful, kind, great personality, and goodlooking but they have horrible breath. Do you keep seeing him/her and try and forget about the breath, dump him/her, or risk hurting their feelings and buy him/her some mints.

Is it a flaw of American culture or something?

I think it can happen everywhere, but it always seems like people get screwed over with promotions in this country.

I just remember Jaye in "Wonderfalls" losing her promotion to the high school kid who worked there, while she was the graduate from Brown. It seems this is an all too common nightmare in this country.

Is this a bad sign that hard work and intelligence are not valued in this society?
