I'm writing a paper for my human sexuality class and was curious to find out what people's thoughts were. I personally am ok with all of the above, but to a certain extent. What's your thoughts?

THANKS!

As long as it's consensual and not injurious to the participants... fine.

You question really boils down to, "When is sex a harmful thing?"

There is nothing innately harmful about being gay, or being straight, for that matter.

Sex is be harmful when it is used as a weapon, is non-consensual, and/or is done with those who do not know they are being taken advantage of (children, animals).

Sex can be harmful when it becomes an obsession and takes over, as in sex addicts, voyeurism, etc.

Fetishes can be part of normal sexual activity as long as they don't dominate everything else and become the sexual activity. Everyone has certain things they fantasize about and like.

I've always thought the whole incest taboo was outdated (not that I've had "the hots" for anyone in my family, lol) and doesn't make a lot of sense.

Hope this helps!

i personally think that all the above is ok, but only when it doesnt involve children and its consensual....

but i can provide you with a legal case study about how to law views this kind of behaviour....
a bunch of gay men were into all sorts of SM activities and they filmed it up. ie: sand paper-ing each other's genitals, inserting nails into the urethra ,hitting and kicking each other etc. however the films were for private use only and it wasnt circulated.
somehow the police got hold of the tape and they were subsequently charged for "perverting public morals" [ which wanst an offence at that point, it was "created" then to contain this case]
this is how law sees it, that it is serious enough to warrant an ad hoc law to punish them....
the case name is R v Brown btw, and its an english case
so if you need more information then please IM me

hope this helps

I would concur with the consensus that as long as people are consenting adults, then it's okay to do what you want in your own space.

I have to note something, however. The general feel of the responses for this question is that everythings okay...however, if somebody actually asks a question like this from their own experiences (they are into a fetish, or something like that), then they get a tirade of 'ooo that's sick' responses. Why is it when the question is phrased like this, it's okay and politically correct to be open-minded, but when the question is somebody admitting they actually do this, it's sick and wrong?

I personally against such things, You see the world has not changed since the creation of man, God in my beleif does not like these things. I also beleive that we all need some one to love and make love too. and that open up a mathamatical question and that is CREATION vs CURIOSITY (excuse my spelling). both man and woman are uncertain of what is right for them and not sure what to do to find happiness so they tend to try everything to be happy. but find more hurt. I think we all should stay the way we are and no matter what happens keep trying for success no matter what .

Like anything, the aforementioned things can be harmful or sick when they start to get in the way of a person functioning, or cause such a pain that they seriously wound the person's physical, emotional, or mental well-being.

harmful or sick when somebody gets hurt mentally or physically OR/AND if the acts are against someone's will. If certain things become too obsessive and it affects one's ability to carry on in life thats a totally bad scene.

other than that, if people are into it and it works for them, it can be okay.

I don't think it is harmful or sick, but I don't think it is mentally sound. Roleplay is phychological escape, and what issues would one have to need an escape from lovemaking? The acts themselves are not in anyway bad, but they are sure signs of something not quite right upstairs.

A sexual act is considered a problem if it involves non-consenting partners, assault, injury, animals, or minors.

Any fantasies involving SM are okay providing they involve consenting adult human partners, and don't leave any lasting damage.

it depends entirely on the person

some women consider it unsanitary to have a man want to put his penis inside her urine duct

others think oral sex is disgusting

still others will quite happily eat faeces directly from their partners anus, even sucking it out

that's it, which way do you lean?
