This morning I took a lost child, who hadn't eaten anything for one day, to a police station.

The first sentence has the words in the correct order (a police station can't eat), but the punctuation (commas) is not.

The comma after "this morning" is unnecessary and make the sentence awkward to read.

However, sometimes it IS better to put a comma after "this morning". For example: This morning, after breakfast, I went to the police station.

A good book on punctuation and general grammar rules is "The Element of Style" by Strunk and White.

Of the two, the first one. However, I don't think it's relevant to mention that the child has not eaten for one day. The sentence would be better and to the point if you just state the facts:

This morning I took a lost child to a police station.

No I is more correct than no.2, but you should include commas. i.e. This morning I took a lost child, who hadn't eaten anything for one day, to a police station.

I think the first one, as the lost child is the one who had not eaten anything for a day...not the police station.

Also the comma use in both sentences are incorrect.....since you didn't use a single one.

One: This morning, (comma) I took a lost child, (comma) who hadn't eaten anything for one day, (comma) to a police station.

Three: This morning, I took a lost child, who hadn't eaten anything for one day, to a police station.

I forget what the middle thing is called, but it is not necessary to the sentence and should be in commas.

The first one.

In the second sentence, it says that the police station hadn't eaten anything for one day.

One is. Why? Because the police station hasn't eaten has it?
