I read the lyrics to the spoof song "I'm an Emo Kid" and it seems like "...cheap imitation of goth..." is dead-on.
I thought I didn't know what an Emo Kid is, but of course I have seen them everywhere- I just thought it was this generation carrying over Goth.

So what's really the difference? (Besides that maybe emo's are more wannabe)

have you had a friend who actions were reflecting badly on you like a girlfriend who's a little bit fast or maybe someone who got on drugs real bad?? if so, did you continue to hang out with this person reguardless of what it made you look like or did you have to move on and let them be?? and did you ever confron the person about it?

We kill other animals and plants all the time. So why is it wrong? I've heard many other answers but none make true sense to me. Is it okay to kill other animals and plants, but not other humans? Is it because animals can't talk and aren't as smart? And just because plants don't respond and don't have the same level of thinking...is it still alright?

Let me tell you to begin with that I'm not a believer OR an atheist, and I don't think I'm changing that in the near future, or possibly ever. Don't waste your time threatening me with hell, because I'm not scared of that. My question is only: what practical difference would it make if we knew for certain that there is a God or there isn't? Please don't tell me why I should or shouldn't believe in God, but why I should even care about finding an answer to this question, even from an atheist's point of view, to come to the conclusion that the answer is no.

BTW, quotes from the Bible, without your personal input will be ignored, and disrespectful answers will be reported.

So we head to the "pearly gates", which are actually brushed steel (far more sensible), and we enter and there on the throne (lazy boy) is God, who is not the God of any worldly religion, but instead the God of reason, logic and sound judgement.

So He reckons, not in a booming voice or anything, that people that lived without believing the unbelievable, and who constantly questioned what was presented, and who lived to the best of their ability with logic and judgement without falling back on Dogma and Myth and thick-headedness would be allowed into heaven.

The people that had blindly believed what they were taught, and who supported governments that simply espoused lies and went to war based on those lies, and who believed unquestioningly the myths and legends that were created to explain what we couldn't understand would be dropped into hell, which is pretty much like earth, except ALL level headedness is gone.

So this is the poser. Imagine this were God. What then? (no more spce)

I have been able to see what I think are ghost, or spirits since I was a child. I am not into the occult, or anything like that. I have done my best to ignore the things I see because I don't want to be seen as a nut case. Lately one spirit has been reappearing to me. Long through my life I've been interested in what you might call mythology of all religions. Ancient Greek, Shinto, Christian, what have you.
I--as anyone else--have come across names such as Satan, Lucifer, Belial, Leviathan, and many other names that according to some sources are all identifiable with the same character in Judeo-Christian dogma. I've also come across some sources who claim they are all very different characters. The latter sources, however, have always refrained from explaining the differences.
My question, could someone please explain to me the difference between Satan and Lucifer? And if you're familiar with the other names (as well as any i haven't named) would you please explain them too?
