When you look at a building, how do you know that there is a builder? Even if you neither saw, heard or touched a builder, you wouldn't suppose that there was none. This is because a building is evidence of a builder. Buildings don't just happen. You don't need faith to know that there is a builder - all you need is eyes which see and a brain which works. Buildings have builders, paintings have painters, songs have songwriters. In fact you would need to exercise a great deal of faith - blind faith - to conclude that there was no builder, painter or songwriter.
If this applies to man-made things like buildings and painters, how much more to the things which man can't make? Consider the vastness and complexity of the universe, from the single cell - the building block of life - through to the planets and the solar system. If humans can't even create one single cell, how could nothing? If buildings don't just happen, how could the whole world? Creation (nature) is evidence of a Creator. You don't need faith to believe in a Creator, all you need is eyes which see and a brain which works.
Scientists commonly attribute the existence of the world to an event known as "the Big Bang"... www.wisefoolishness.com

I can't prove that God exists, and I'd be very skeptical of those who can. But that's the whole point. If God could be "proved" would we need a god at all? I don't think so.
The Bible calls on people to believe first, and then God makes himself real to us in ways that can sometimes - or sometimes not - be described.
"Hebrews 11:1-3 Faith in What We Don't See
(1-2) The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. (3) By faith, we see the world called into existence by God's word, what we see created by what we don't see."
I believed in God long before I knew anything about proof. And God has rewarded me with peace and joy. Even in the midst of all my troubles - which have been many - I know that God hears my cries in the dark and answers me.
If you wanna do some reading about God's existence, check out Josh McDowell's earlier books. McDowell was once an unbeliever, a skeptic. And he tried to disprove God but in the process found God. Some good books by him are "More Than a Carpenter", "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" and "More Evidence that Demands a Verdict."

No bananas here.
1. The existence of time and space.
- No one, not even man, can invent or create time and space. There is a much superior "being" (or "power") that holds time and space in its proper place. God is the one that created time and space, He sustains time and space. We humans are limited to these two elements, but not Him.
2. The existence of the universe we live in and all the creations.
- No, we didn't just evolve from a tiny speck of dust, dirt or slime and become what we are today. We were created in the image of God our creator. Even clone scientists would need to use some elements taken from the natural to make clone beings (they can't make their own cells in the first place). The universe and all the creations (animals, plants, etc) have been created by God the creator. There is simply no way that all these things came into being via the big bang.
3. The fact that you are still alive and breathing.
- Life and death is in the hands of God. He holds your breath. The fact that you are alive now tells you that there is One who created you and sustained your breath till this very day.
The very fact that you don't see Him physically or touch Him physically or smell Him or hear His audible voice doesn't mean that He doesn't exist.
- Simple logics: I can't see your brain, but does that mean that you don't have a brain? I can't see your lungs, but does that mean that you don't have lungs? I can't see or feel the wind, but does that mean that there isn't such a thing called wind?
- Finally, blessed is he who do not see, yet believes. -
- Only fools say in their hearts that there is no God. Even the demons know that there is a God and tremble! -

Yes, I can prove that GOD must BE, on the basis of logic. In other words, it is a deductive proof, not merely one left to inductive reasoning. As such, the proof is much stronger than inferences from so-called "hard evidence."
Now consider that if there EVER was a time when NOTHING was ALL there was, then ALL there would be now is NOTHING. That is, if there was no actuality and no potentiality, then there could only be NO THING. Plainly stated, nothing comes from nothing. But this implies that if ANYTHING exists, then SOMETHING must have the power to BE, in and of itself. That which has such power of being in itself is commonly called GOD. Thus, if you exist, or the text you are reading exists, or the medium in which that text is presented to you exists, then GOD must BE. In fact, even a banana necessitates that GOD be. Otherwise, all there would be now and forever is nothing.

I think he or something like he does. Even if he is the simple non-thinking energies and powers that created and keeps the universe(S) going. But even if he is all knowing, then I believe he or it is totally different than what they write in text about, just to get you to part with most of you wallet every Sunday.
The Indians and others like them worshiped the powers and the land it created, and gave thanks to it. But the white man and others like them perfected that into something fearful and to be feared as everything else, just to capitalize, and to the point to where they actually believed it themselves.
There are several paradoxes in the bible that people refuse to see, or let a pastor explain it to them in a language that you would use for an 8 year old, and believe it! The one that gets me the most is if Lots wife was turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back at Sodom and Gommorah while they were fleeing and forbidden to look back, then who knows about her to write that about her in the bible, because no one could look back at her to see this because I believe the way it was written was she was in the rear flank? Only God would have seen this without being punished, and God does not write the bible. But even if God, someone of almighty logic and power would have instructed a prophet to write this, why would he impose such a cruel and silly punishment on someone that was fleeing such a filthy culture and city? But trust me, a pastor will give you a Star Trek type of answer on this one, like a car salesman will BS you just to get you to buy a car, and even though his explanation about the car seems absurd you will still probably believe it to some extent.
Also, did you know the second biggest selling novel of all time next to the bible was Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler? Scary isn't it? If Hitler would have won, that would be the number one seller of all time; hence, the new worldwide bible!
"MY GOD CAN BEAT UP YOUR GOD!" way of thinking, even though Hitler was considered Christian, he could have altered the current bible drastically.
I believe there is a God, and you need to find him in your own way, instead of a black book that was misconstrued about him to take control of continents and cultures, and change them because they don't agree with or understand.

Despite the delusions of some on here, there is no evidence that any god or gods exist or ever have existed. If they have evidence that goes beyond their faith, they need to share it with the rest of the world. Christianity has had 2000 years to show evidence of its dogmatic claims and it still has failed to show that Jesus was real. So it depends on which god you want to address, but even the Christian is an atheist to all other god beliefs, they just have missed the obvious answer by one deity.

Not anymore than you can prove to me he doesn't. In a recent news documentary a famous mathemetician claims he spent a couple of years tring to do just that, using mathematics, He concluded that yes, the universe began with God and also, that it will end by God. Personally, Something has saved me several times from incidents on duty where I should have been killed by suspects. And when my son was born, and I witnessed his birth, I was convinced definietly a gift from God. I've pondered that same question off and on my whole life. Even though my life sucks sometimes and I feel screwed, overal in the bid picture of nature, things are just to perfect not be a result of design by a power much higher than you or I.

They found Noahs Ark imbedded in the side of Mt Arrarat.
A small country in Africa (can't remeber the name) claims to have the Arc of the Covenant
Over the years, many professional archaeologists had looked for the site at which Moses parted the waters of the red Sea. An amateur with a passion for the bible, Ron Wyatt, finally found it in 1978. The Gulf of Aquaba is right next to the biblical Mt. Sinai (today's peak Jabal ab Lawz in Saudi Arabia). The site was excavated and it revealed bones, chariots, and more from the reign of Pharaoh Thutmose IV

She's an urban legend, and the bible is a nice book of fiction. I always think it's funny when something like hurrican Katrina happens. People go to church to pray for everyone involved, yet, don't they realize it's their "God" who causes the problem in the first place since God is suppose to be in control of all things.
Someone told me once that God wouldn't give me anything I couldn't handle. My answer, and others I have talked to with the same medical condition, say we weren't asked if we wanted to handle anything, and we don't want to.

No bananas for you monkey.
Searching for proof on the existence of a spiritual being such as the almighty God (Jehovah) is as simple as you want to make it.
1-Prove to me that the air exisits. You can't see it, you can't touch it, you can't smell it (unless its carrying odor from elsewhere)...but, you can hear it and feel it. Certainly, you can also see its many effects.
The same holds true for the creator (God). You cant see, hear, feel, touch or smell him. But you can see the result of his creation. Your life is one proof. You are alive, sorrounded by intelligent design created form him.
2-He inspired a book for us to read (The bible). If the book sits there on the table, it proves nothing. You must out it to the test, discover your faith and its truths. When you understand it, you also get to understand its origin from God.
3-Prayer and its power. Next time you find yourself in the need of help, try praying to him by USING HIS NAME. An answered prayer, made in silence just between you and him, should help you acknowledge his existence.
There are many proofs that one can use. However, in order to accept his existence, you need to have faith. And faith, "is the acceptance of a belief without having to percieve something through your 5 senses."
It takes intelligence and faith to believe in God.
