Great reading. I also recommend "The Handmaid's Tale". Shows what happens when we stop thinking for ourselves and is a relevant social commentary. The movie was pretty good too... Faye Dunaway, Aiden Quinn... well done flick that makes you think. Watch the movie, but also read the book.

1984 is a warning for what the Government today is trying to do; being able to come in your house without knocking 1st; listening to your phone conversations; soon requiring a federal i.d. for all with a chip to track your every move; then a chip implanted inside your body; look at children's i.d. chips.

I'd rather read "Mockingbird" and ride the thought buses. Maybe visit the zoo to see the robot animals and children. Then I'll take some sopors and sleep.

That is intelligent and thought-provoking literature. So naturally, it is a sin and you will burn in hell for reading it. The Christian leaders aren't watching your every move! We don't have cameras in your bathrooms!
