It can be I suppose, paranoia can be the roots to a problem, or it can be your inner voice trying to tell you something.
Paranoia is a accumulation of thoughts and feelings, maybe a fear that grows from within and it can be the doom of many relationships because of ones own insecuritys and fears.
Paranoia can also be a warning, a voice trying to tell you something so we have to be the judge and jury to decide if a paranoia stemmed from our own fears or if we are ignoring something foreseen or felt.
If there are signs that is the cause to the paranoia then it may not be paranoia but only time tells us if was or was not-in that time many allow the fear to become their own demons with the paranoia growing within them=jealousy, possesivness (sp)
A woman who can "sense" her husband being unfaithful "could" be paranoia or it could be the truth-get what I am saying?
When I got a "feeling" about one of my children getting meningitis my husband kept telling me I was paranoid. It was a fear within me but felt like a warning=be prepared.
About three-six months later one of my children DID get meningitis and me being pre-warned thus prepared sort of prepared me for which turned out to be one of the most traumatic times in my life....so that wasn't paranoia.

You only have to see the way that people in the us behave in there is the answer...it's almost like a rhetorical question...the culture of fear has heavy damaged our perception and now paranoia can be greater than the sense of awareness...

Paranoia is caused by guilt of some kind, but it is likely to give greater awareness because your body is pumps adrenalin and endomorphs into your system when you are scared and this naturally increases awareness.
