of course. are you the same person you were at 17?

if he's spent a lot of time in jail, however, i'd realize that mental health issues resulting from that kind of thing can cause all kinds of repercussions.

i tend to agree with the first poster, Cassie. BUT, it is very important, how much time in the ensuing years were spent incarcerated?

look it's the old story....if you were "in love" with some one for a year, it's gonna take a year to get over them. if a guy was in prison for a year it'll take a year (or prolly more) to get over it. fifteen years? the hard and cold of it? find someone easier. and i am so sorry. life is like it is. good luck to both.

It depends on the person and their desire to change. Sometimes prison really hardens a person, sometimes it makes them more determined to improve themselves. It sounds like you want him to have changed, so I hope in this case he has. He will need lots of support when he gets out. Ex-cons have a difficult time adjusting to life outside prison.

That depends. Is This a father or brother? Then you should do what you can to help them re-enter society. Is this a prison pen pal? If so get far, far away

Absolutely not. People commit crimes particularly violent crimes like robbery because they are evil. Evil people don't change....ever. But they do pretend to change in order to trick gullible vicitims into trusting them. This is no joke. He intends to hurt you.
