I am half-black, so people expect me to be like Dave Chappelle or something, or I'm not black.

I used to be a martial arts teacher, and people expected me to be some sort of fun clown. Someone actually told me I shouldn't be a real teacher because I would bore people!

I talk to people sometimes from work or that I know, and they'll say something like, "Why don't you have more fun?" like I'm some 24-hour fun-a-thon clown?

Have we lost our priorities in this country? Is it more about fun than actually having a personality or getting the job done? Why do I have to be someone else's source of entertainment?

on crowded sidewalks it becomes more and more common to have 2 to 5 people who won't make room for people walking toward them and sometimes actually hit you purposely with their shoulders .. This is not just men.

I was not at home and my guests barbecued and used my good china to eat off and then washed it in the dishwasher. Their excuse was they wanted to eat off my "fancy plates" but did not know people had dishes that could not be put in the dishwasher.

Say, for example a man from the USA or the United Kingdom fell in love with someone from India or alike. Do you think it is possible to comprimise and live in a totally differen culture even if you love someone?
Personally, I could never do it as you would be forced to live a totally different way of life and you could resent them for this. I do not think these relationships would work out, long term.
What is your opinion on relationships between vastly different cultures?
