I am not talking about Strucural Functionalism and Symbolic Interaction theories. I need to know if I am correct - if those are the 2 categories. I need to know if the Micro-sociological and Macro-sociological theories are the same as Structiral Perspectives and Interpretive Perspectives.

P.S - In other words, what is the name of the set of theories which focus on how individual and group behaviour find meaning in, experience and affect society? and what are the set of theories which focus on how society affects human behaviour?

I read in a book that if all the planet's inhabitants where to have the life style of the americans the planet's natural resources would be drained in just three days. (I'm not american and I have nothing against you, just wanna know how you live).

That is if a suitable job was available at a decent wage?

Mental health problems no excuse, although bad injuries are.

Some people are so chaotic nobody would want to employ them and some people cause more problems and are a waste of time.

But unless you are an alcoholic or druggie, your energies have to be used somehow.

I recieved some booklets asking to donate money to the 'handicapped'. It is rude, and offensive in our time for most people. The correct word should be 'disabled'. People with disabilities have voiced handicapped to be offensive. So I think we should respect that.

I don't conform to society. I just be myself, & I don't bother or hurt anyone. People say that when I don't conform, others have a right to treat me like an alien from Mars. Then when I do try to conform to society, they say I'm trying to fit in the crowd for attention. I'm a 23-yr. old college grad. Why do I need to yearn for attention? I'm used to being a loner & I like it that way because no one can hurt my feelings. People are SO contradictory about things! I swear.

I have come to believe that the majority of our issues are a direct result of society wanting immediate gratification. We dont want to really work for or at things. Divorce, loss of jobs, raising our children, the list goes on and on. Are we a society of half assers who whine and make excuses when life requires persistance and dedication?
