The system of oppression, where people are objects rather than subjects, known and acted upon. They are genders, classes, skin shades, sexes, nationalities, ethnicities, ages, abilities etc. Both oppressors and oppressed are in this cycle of oppression, both are oppressed by it as both are objects.

When people are dehumanized and seen as objects, we have a lack of empathy and compassion, Together I define these two things as equating to love. Without them we have wars, poverty, prejudice, discrimination, murder, rape, etc.

So, I believe that the most pressing social problem today is the dehumanization of humans, the turning of humans into objects, rather than subjects.

If we cannot even love those that we deem to look the most similar to us in form and biology (our fellow humans) how they can we love our planet full of things we might see as less like us, such as plants, animals, oceans, air, etc? Perhaps if we felt that human lives had more worth, we would realize how much we depend on the earth for our very survival and take better care of it as well.

Unrestrained reproduction.

Too many people lead to these outcomes:

- Consume more resources = generating more of those greenhouse gases.
- High people density usually always leads to higher crime and poor living conditions.

And so on. Eventually Mother Nature will level the playing field. If we don't do something to ourselves, she'll tap us with a plague as sure as history repeats itself.

that the American public cares more about anna nicole smith than they do about any politics... if half the energy that went towards her was focused on politically trying to better the country, it would be plenty to make a difference.
