In the US people seem to express their standing or success by the type of vehicle they drive. I seem to see fewer people driving BMW's and SUV's in the UK and more small compact vehicles, regardless of their job or income.

A person is an individual. So why do some generalize black people as having tons of kids and being illiterate and on welfare. Why are white judged as having incest and living in trailers. Why are hispanics generalized as being "dirty" and why are asians supposed to be "nerds" Of course there are large majorities who may be these things but I don't understand why there's so much hate and bigotry. I know people of all these races and some are stand out wonderful people and some are not. People are individuals and should be addressed for who they are, not for the pigmentation of their skin.

My parents are always down talking me about the kind of college I feel that I really want to go to. I want to go to the American Academy of Arts or MAYBE transfer to USC or UCLA and do their performing art programs. My parents want me to do some medical and scientific stuff, things that do not interest me. They constantly push it on me, especially my father, and I tell them I do not want to because I am not interested in that, I want to do something that I love or like. They tell me "life is not all about you and it's not all about what you like or not, there are going to be things you don't wanna do". They say this to everything, but it just doesn't connect to me. I make very good grades and school and was born with natural talents and I love them, I want to go into the Arts. I already do it in school and they hate it, they say it's too easy. But it isn't. How do I tell them that the bad talk and pressure is getting very stressful? Or am I being immature? I'm not sure what to think

i'm one of those people who when trying to say a simple sentence, say it in a very complicated way, for example: "it's like my parents werent home and we couldnt do it because they like werent home because they were gonna go out so u know, we couldnt really do it"
how can i not do this anymore? and just say things normally and in a simple way?

dr is Ds guy who was my clasm8 & from d 1st day in intro clas i know d some1 is looking @me & when i look around i see him & den looks away. der was Ds day were i felt it again & den i lookd @ him, dis time he lookd @ me 2 & for a few secs. we stared @each other & lookd away., it was D presentation of our requirement for a subject & we were 2 act. dat day my friends told me i look really beautiful.. they even told me i look like a celeb.. den when i got in D room i tuk my seat &den again he stared @ me(he lookd @ me like i was soo gorgeous) den i smiled @ him. den dr was ds return demo wer we wer 2 ases vital signs(wer nursing students) we wer told dat he is my partnr & with dat ol of his buddies reacted teased us when i took his vital signs his heart rate was over a 100 our prof even asked if he is nervus(in my mind i taut dat he "was" nervus or was it bcoz of me). dr r so many cases i cot him stare @ me, wen we tok dr was not much we could say hes my crush is it just me or he lik me2

I am no bigot, racist, or otherwise. Now that that's out of the way, I must ask; Why, are so many African Americans still racist against whites? Some of my ancestors made horrible decisions, not me. I just think that everyone should be treated equally and given fair chance before you judge them, if you even think you have the right to. I also think that you live and teach by example, so if you wanted to be treated as an equal, or good person, why not exemplify that instead of doing to others what you're so upset about happening to you or your ancestors? I am caucasion, and I have experienced far more racism from African Americans than I have ever witnessed happening to them, though I am not naieve, I know it happens as well. That being said, I still put my best foot foreward and blame the individual, not the color of their skin. I'd like to hear your opinions on my question.

The American mafia had huge power since the 1860's and still does. The average American enjoys watching "The sopranos" a show about a bunch of gangsters. America's abandonement of the English and French cultures, has proven them to be loud, rude disrespectful, and violent. There are many of nice and kind Americans but they are starting to become a minority. In England and France they do not have a mafia equivalent because they did not have huge waves of immigrants who brought their gangs with them, IE Italians came to this country and brought the mafia with them.
