No, but it is an example of conservation/environment firendly approach.

Tome & barb barteed and sold their goods (capatiilsm) the did not live in a commune, sharing tsks and resources with other people, that would have been marxist!

They also stayed in the very middle classes instread of with them rural serfs or the lumpenproles on the council estate! Their companions were also primarily v middle class.

But they meant well, bless them......

It could be interpreted as an example of Marxism, but I don't think that was the intent. For one thing, the focus was on the Goods' self-sufficiency, an idea that was gaining popularity at the time on both sides of the Atlantic, and an idea that had more to do with escaping the rat race than with any particular political philosophy. Marx wasn't really about how to raise your own vegetables.
