There is no way. Dont make a fool out of him or yourself by making a big deal out of saving his life.Staying with you that didnt love him would had killed him. Be honest of above all and he'll always be your friend in the long end.

Start hanging out with a different guy and ask him out when the other guy is around and can hear you! Or you can say your mom doesn't let you date

It's best to be honest and up-front with him. Let him know that you appreciate the compliment and that you feel flattered, but you aren't interested in a relationship at the moment.

Why are you not 'interested', what is 'interested' supposed to mean. If you know you are superior to this 'guy', ask from him what it is that would make him an acceptable equal; when he realizes he is not a match for you or when he realizes what he must accomplish to gain your good judgment, he shall take action.

If nothing serious has gone on between you two, it shouldn't be hard. Just tell him that he's your friend and not boyfriend. Guys move on more quickly than they should sometimes. You'd be surprised.

be honest with him. tell him you are not interested in him or you would prefer just having him as a friend. it would hurt more if you lead him on or let him expect from you.
