The day you know all the risks, can comprehend the effects of the risks and appreciate that sex is not something to be entered into lightly. If you know what it is, understand what can happen and know all about the contraceptive methods then your ready. I think 16 is correct for society but personally I think 18, as you are more mature, sensible and are more willing to buy contraception than others. You are less likely to get silly over the word condom. I accept I am generalising because under 18's can be and are mature.

If you go by the bible then it would be after marriage no matter what the age.
If you are going by anything else then it would depend on the maturity level of both parties involved.

On the norm the maturity level would probably be around the age of 17/18.
Kids think they are so mature these days and I think it is just the opposite. Kids are less mature now a days then they use to be. They just dress older and try to act older. And that is the key word ACT.

It should be whenever you feel ready, but with today's society so bent on having people do things as early as poss, peer pressure and the like, I think it should be minimal of 16. It is here in Britain. Most kids these days are not always responsible until at least that age. Things are different than they were 50 years ago.

It's not so much a question of age, more of commitment. The World Health Organisation stated that the best environment for sex was within a healthy long-term monoganist relationship. For me that meant marriage - age was irrelevant. If we wonder if we're 'ready' if probably means that we're not; infact i don't believe 'being ready' has anything to do with it at all.

I would say whenever you feel ready to go that far. Don't feel pressured into doing it by anyone, you will know when the time is right. But personally I would wait til at least 16/17 but if you are younger then make sure you want to do it and use protection!!! Hope this helped

like 17 or 18.

I personally would wait to my senior year in high school. But if I have been dating someone for a while and I was 16 and I really "loved" the person I would do it.

I think after the age of 30, and both parties must be both over 20 stone. This will put them off having sex again, and reduce the global population to more managable levels.

physicaly god knows however this is not emotionaly the right age. i would say about 18/19. i lost my virginity at 16 on a park bench, it was horrific, terrable experience and i'm gald i'm now in a stable relationship of 5 years. i've had way more fun with my girlfriend than with any of my one night stands.
