I've noticed that this generation seems to have "issues" with their children because the kids raise themselves. What gives? Why are you so self-centered? I'm 40ish and I devote all of my time to my kids. Would really like to understand.

Those neo-Nazi white supremacist types always act like Jews are pure evil or something, and they're so insistent that they're not white, despite the fact that the European Jews spent thousands of years in Europe. Their conspiracy theories about how Jews control the world and are out to get everyone are totally insane. I come from a Christian background, but I could never understand anti-Semitism.

This question is valid for both personal and broader (national/political) viewpoints. Specifically I'm asking this because I'm in financial trouble, and a cashier made a stupid mistake resulting in a $30 return in my favor. I would have normally corrected him, but as I said, I'm in a financial tight spot. Is this justified, or have I compromised my morals.

(this could be expanded to the whole "wiretap/terrorist" issue also.

Complete information is rarely attainable, and some level of prejudice must be used in almost every decision to function in life.

So at the beginning of the summer I met a new female friend(who has been in an on & off relationship for the past 2 years) through some friends. We started hanging out a lot and getting to know each other. She had a long distant relationship which she hasn't been happy about for the last couple of years, this was obvious to all. My question is this. On one phone conversation with her, out of the blue, she told me that "you're the enlightened one reincarnated into your body". Her family is Buddhist and if you aren't familiar with Buddhist, here's the 101 on it. The enlightened one is basically the 'god' in short who comes back into life every life cycle. Why she told me that I don't know. Is it that she wants some guy to get her out of her crappy relationship and doesn't know how? coz that's the only thing I can think of. We're both in our 30's.

A particularly foul-mouthed youth, one of a group outside Tesco;s today, irritated me so much today that I fetched him a clip round the ear and said, "Oh, sorry, I thought you were my Kevin". He wasn't because Kevin was probably in his room downloading pornography, but I wonder if I've discovered a method of crowd control we women could usefully employ?
