man from West Africa. He and his family came from a busy city. His country has no history of slavery or apartied. They look identical to American blacks as far as ranging in complexion from Wesley Snipes to Halle Berry. Still, they have ideas about themselves/other black people that R similar to deeply oppressed, unenlightened blacks here in the US during the 40s! Making comments like “No not the black one, the handsome one." "Mexican Hispanics are so dark. Cuban Hispanics are beautiful. They look almost white" when asked do you like Beyonce or Ashanti or Janet Jackson? The males and females will almost always say "I like Britney Spears" or "I like Jessica Simpson" (eye roll). They seem to have zero appreciation for other people of color and have whites/whiteness on a pedestal as being the gold standard of cool, beauty and it-ness. I'm shocked by this. Has anyone else encountered this internalized racism from immigrant blacks (or other people of color)? Anyone know what causes it?

I was put into foster care on Febuary 10th and taken out April the19th.

I am 14.

I was put in foster care from sexual abuse.

I am a honor roll student and in the International Baccurlarate program,a program for highly gifted students.

My question is, with the information given, are there any programs that can help me .We don't have alot of money;let me rephrase that, we haven't hardly any money,since, the person who was working is now out of the house. My mom either just got, or is getting off dissability,I forget (lol) . I really would like to know ;what things or programs are there to help foster children ,or post foster kids succed in life?

Was I not in the system long enough to get help?

"It's amazing how I only went in foster care for only 2 months and a half, and my life is ruined"

i mean we dont all spend every day typing and we can spell but cant type!!and who cares if people cant spell should we take the p?ss out of them??i mean just cos some of you were tease at school cos you were but ugly or had no freinds why take revenge???am i the only one who feel like this

I'm very good at maths and science. I have a good memory. I love to learn other languages and I currently speak 5 and I'm learning another 2. I'm really into psychology and I've watched most films with psych theme. I also have this huge passion of guitar. I love travel writing and I've already some articles published in various magazines, which also means I like traveling. I have been fascinated by aeroplanes since I was little and now I'm under government scholarship to study aeronautics. I know that this is what I want to do because studying how exactly does a plane fly really excites me. However, I don't think I want to do this my whole life because it's not really fulfilling since I have a lot of other things I'm really, really interested in, as much as aeroplanes. I'm not into sports tho'. I'm not sure if I should go down this path. I want to be able to do all the things I like and get a degree in them. How is that possible?

Is this a cunning plan? did the share holders of the leading Toilet roll manufacturers suddenly say "eureka" and set about a crafty subliminal advert. campaign? I was looking at some of the questions and answers about them, and almost everyone thinks they are mean, untrustworthy, dirty, stupid and inbred, WRONG! They are some of the friendliest people and I don't know where you got your info from, but we do have education, and are small town business owners who work as hard or harder than you. They don't like to be around big business people, that is all because big business is untrustworthy. I am a redneck, and I KNOW.
