How did the definition of "racism" change over the years?

I think racism today can be defined as economic jealousy. Sadly I am trying to be PC so I won't elaborate.

I don't believe the definition of "racism" has changed over the years. Racism is a belief that those of different color, culture, and beliefs other than our own are inferior.

Essentially it changed from a fear of anothers race due to ignorance of that person, to a valuable tool in the hands of people like those who use the accusation of racism to steal, censor others, or extort funds for themselves. It has also become an excuse that Jesse Jackson teaches children in hopes that they will continue to "need" him as their savior. The more dependent people his has, the better his extortion scam works against corporations. Big bucks in racism for people like this.
