If you believe what you believe only because of the way you were brought up and the things you were taught, where's the line between subjective and objective?

Shall we give them a 2nd chance?
If not death sentence, how shall they be punished? Will they just get away with their sins? But even if punished, nothing can be changed.. The victims are still in pain

say. America should take sharp notice of our relationship with these so called terrorists. We are bright, accomplished, and we have constructed a great rift between many of the world's cultures and our own. What we have failed to recognise is our similarities.

I think we should invite Osama-bin-Laden to Cape Canaveral and teach him the ways of a basic astronaut and stick his *** on a Saturn-5, back to the moon. So that he can speak to his God, and shout from the mountain, praise: all that is mighty and pure... Then (big then). Return safely back home so that he could tell all of those who have followed him. So that they could recognise that He is all and mighty and His grace had led us all, in unison.

What we have in common is that we all have survived. Survived all that God has given us for millions of years and just to then to be given the hardship: to tell the tale. We are all still breathing and kicking.

Can the millenea of work and sacrifice, which has taken the human spirit to the edge of infinity, be enough to reunite us, in one simple purpose?

The fact is, people really hate other people simply because of the color of their skin. Why is this? Is their some historical event that I'm unaware of? Is there some inherent hatred in the human psyche? Do people just not get along in general? What are your thoughts? (Oh, and PLEASE do not say that racism stems from slavery or from segregation or any other relatively modern events. Those events stemmed from racism, not the other way around, racism has been around much longer than the United States has).

It seems to me that what we used to learn at home is no longer taught at home. When we were kids our parents would have kicked our butts into next year if we had behaved the way kids do now days. None of them say please or thank you, or excuse me. Just basic manners are non exsistant in kids today. If parents are not going to teach the kids proper behavior, why could it not be a required class at school. I know there are some that will say there are a lot more important things they need in school. But it would be nice if kids could go out into the real world with some idea of how to function properly and respectfully. Don't you think?

I have a hard time trusting people,so it takes a while for me to. But after 6 months to a year, when people I meet get know me and me them. I start to trust them. Just when I do,things change too fast for me. The people that I know change in ways like this:

Only care about themselves (school, job and money,etc...)
Only care about the items. IE: Cars,etc...
Don't communicate as much anymore (Telephone,Snail Mail,E-mail,IMing,etc...)
Start to have additude/mentality of "only myself,I and me".

I understand I know and the world has a right to improve themselves like going to school or going to work, being a relationship,etc... But it never seems to end and keep on happening over, over again when from one group or another that I go to.

After perusing the "Answers" area of Yahoo, I have never been more worried about the state of our nation. Is our educational system that bad? Are people really that apathetic that they choose to stop learning? I checked several areas, and while I'm no genius myself, I was appalled to see some of the questions and the correct answer only 1 in 15 times. And we are talking really basic stuff here. Do Photons have mass? How old is the earth? Will antifreeze kill my dog. Several Askers even picked incorrect answers as their best answer. I have seen incorrect answers in other forums as well, but this appears to be appealing to the lowest common denominator or the human race and I fear that they are spreading the mis-information to the masses, effectivly dumbing down the population.

Think about it, how many times has someone done something stupid to you or someone else that provoked and equally stupid or more stupid response. Which in turn provoked yet another stupid response. Stupidity spread like a virus from one person to another, and it takes a great deal of will power to stop the spread. Discuss

They have been in a relationship for about 5 years ago. While scanning the pedofiles in my town/city, my children (4 & 6) where spending the night at 'grandma's house'. I later found out that my mother knew of this 2 years into their relationship and had never told me. Then she described some sugar coated, watered down chain of events that took place 13 years ago. This was of course his prior explanation to her as well. Also does anyone know where i can learn what kind of actions are considered offense code # *@& ? Also know of how i could find out when this offense took place? anything? my children BTW are no longer visiting the home where he resides and has limited visiting with 'grandma' when i am present.
