Yes it is.
Jesus was Jesus of Nazareth. Christ is another way of saying enlightened one. So if Jesus lived in India instead of the middle east he would have been Jesus Budda.
To be a Christ is to reach a spiritual stage of elinghtenment. Its not something physical. Others have done it. Thats why the religion is called Christianity, not Jesusanity.
Could you imagine a religion where everyone would have to become a carpenter to find salvation??? LOL
Enough Joking aside as I know talking about religion can make some people touchy.
Christ is a metaphor for being enlightened.

No; there is enough historical and literary evidence for a reasonable person to conclude he really lived on earth. The early disciples were convinced of his existence, and a number of contemporary (and less-than-sympathetic) sources were convinced that the disciples were convinced, not only of his existence, but also of his claim to be the Son of God.
Logic dictates that this particular claim is either true or false. Those who assert that the claim is false and that Jesus was just a "good teacher" run into some logical problems, such as: how could a "good teacher" lie so blatantly? And: if Jesus was either a liar or a lunatic, why would the disciples endure the miseries of martyrdom and persecution?
I do agree, the world would be a better place if more people followed his teachings and his example.

A metaphor? As in a symbolic phrase to mean something else? No. I believe he was an actual man that had some very good teachings. His name is used in vain, to be sure, but I don't believe his name is a metaphor. If I were to choose a metaphor for those words, I would say it's more like " Christian" or " Christ-Like".

You are asking us to think that a savior and an actual human-being written about in multiple sources besides the Bible is a total lie? That this is thee biggest controversy in history? He's not a metaphor but rather an actual individual who lived and showed us how to be moral, just, and the perfect child of God.

its my personal opinion that jesus christ existed, as a man or god i do not know, nor do i care, but theres too much evidence that he did exist, for litterly millions of people he is the prime example of morality and justice and therefore rather than a metaphor he seems to be a simile :D

Um, no. Here is an example of a metaphor:
His face is a bookcase.
And this is a simile:
The clicky pen was as a beautiful epiphany of truth.
And here is personification:
The littlelest booger cried in despair.
And that, my young apprentice, is your grammar lesson for the day. May the force be with you.
