Yes Elenor is Right. The term is a religious term for those who were not saved and had to be recycled. Now as an old soul we are doing life again with hopes of reaching the next level. Anyone who has murdered in cold blood has to be recycled and get a new name and parents. Some even have flash backs to the former life when things were more violent. I hope all of us old souls can be successful this time round.

An "old soul" is someone whose soul has been reincarnated many times. So that by now, they seem wise beyond their years, because though they can not remember, the knowledge and common sense from ages past is embedded in their soul. A "new soul" on the other hand is one that has not been reincarnated yet. So I've been told.

I think it means that they have an evil soul that is not up to date. Or maybe it'[s still stuck in the past while it's body is present in the future.

My interpretation is that the person in question is wise beyond their years or has a certain personality quality that only is usually reserved for people who have been taught by lifes problems.

They believe in things there grandparents believed in. Also they think they are wise above their years. People think it has alot of different meanings.

"OLD SOUL"... to me, is the soul of your guiding forefathers that your father have inherited and have the way of life that you too have been using for your own existence.
So, if someone mentions your old soul, they particularly sidelined you and particularly mentioning your generations.
