Well to make things fun I call "black" people "crackas" and other racial terms that dont fit em till they look at me funny.

I dont play the racism game with anyone. I mean ANYONE. So this is what I do.

"Black" Person (BP) : Its because im black right?
Me: You aint black ya cracka!
BP: What are you talkin about?
Me: Your just trying to keep the black man down. (this is where I raise my fist and say Black Power or some stupid ethnocentric ebonic phrase)

(The BP just stares in wonder at my absurb modeling of a ignorant BP, or i get laughed at and they relize thier point is moot, or as in one case, I get punched in the face for keeping the black man down, or so im told)

This dialog usually works are making the point of how stupid and ignorant sterotypes, labels, and racism can be.

I know this didnt answer the question, but here is the real answer. Its because ALL human beings can and have been victims in thier lives. I am willing to bet the "black" people you have run into probably have practiced thier victim act on your race before. And it works. Just like women can get away with bad behavior by claiming Its because of "My monthly girl problems" and us men back off.

Listen hear, S.l.u.t face,. The reason why blacks use the "Black card" so often is because many times that is the case. Not everyone is as liberal, or non-racist as you claim to be. Just look at the answers that you've received for this question. Many people have just given you an answer that generalizes about a group of people. I have never used my race as an excuse for any shortcoming, even in cases where I'm sure it played a factor- good or bad. America has a long history of treating people unfairly simply because of their skin color, country of origin , religion, sexual preference, etc. How do YOU know that these people that say this haven't been victims before? Trust me, no race in this country knows better than blacks how to deal with everyday problems. Open your eyes. Who do you hear say, " its because I'm black?", Maybe you should surround yourself with people who aren't such lazy slackers

Some of the most public black leaders make nearly everything about race. Therefore, it seems like blacks are always playing the race card. However, not all blacks think this way.

I think that always playing the race card takes away from the legitimacy of real cases of innocent people being racially profiled and racial discriminated against. Real cases do exist and need our support. But as for the Rodney King’s of the world, they should not get all the attention that they do, when they were clearly in the wrong in the first place.

In my experience it has generally been because of not wanting to take responsibility for own actions or in-actions. I did not succeed because I am black. OR, I did something wrong because I was forced to because I am black (ie...I lost my job not because I threatened a coworker but because I am black, therefore, I had to make a living some way so I sold drugs and they arrested me because I am black...) True life experience by the way...
I am not racist either and I do not like it when anyone excuses behaviors for any reason regardless of color, religion, sex etc...We choose to do what we do...We ALL need to own up to what we choose to do or not do..

The simple answer is this, the person's identity (ego) is so tightly wrapped around the color of their skin and the past that to disolve this key issue would be to loose who they think they are. Example...strong proud black women....tough, but beaten down young black man who needs to fight the white man...etc, etc.

The biggest problem in American society is racism. Black people (as you refer to them) are intelligent enough to make rules for themselves but white people make all of the laws and rules in America, etc. etc. etc.
When people say they are not a racist.................... trust me they are!

yeah when my dad was a cop and he pulled over someone that was black it was alway they're excuse. once this guy was coming by at 90 and my dad had to chase him down a little ways, and before my dad even said anything, "you pulled me over cause im black" my dad was like "i didn't even know what color your car was, you came by so fast" that's funny.

Because they need an excuse for why they can't succeed at something even though they haven't even tried - it's easier to blame something for your own failure than to look at yourself as the reason you can't get ahead.
