It depends on whether the people would be willing to welcome new things or at least be tolerable with new things. If they keep being conservative, cultural belief may be protected but common belief may be too far to reach. Then there will be a gap between the foundation of the society and its modern generations.

I think you are incorrect.
I was brought up being taken to church every sunday and I hated it, the only good use of a church in my opinion is for the accoustics when i play my flute.
I do not believe in God I believe that if you consider the size of an ant and then consider the size of its world/universe we must be on a similar scale, just look at the size of space and how many universes there are beyond our universe our world has very little significance in the depths of space.
We regard ourselves as special because we haven't yet found another planet with equal intelegence on it.
this is a very closed minded view when it is apparent that there are so many other universes out there to discover.

opinions - we all have them and we lead and follow because of them. As we grow we learn from others opinions and for the most part we accept them as that's just the way it is.
There comes a time in life where we question these opinions and say hey maybe they were not right after all because someone else said it does not mean it is true.
For example we say the sky is blue and we accept it. But think about it someone at sometime had to call this color blue and that means they formed an opinion. Then ask yourself is that right or wrong. well honestly it is wrong but we accept it because now this opinion became general acceptance..

hmmm this is a very paradoxical issue...
i think that the dogma inculcated in us(since childhood) hav affect our personal opinions....thus we tend to share a sheer belief on similar matters....even if DA Vinci code was true.....Christians would not be objective....
its the degree at which someone believes

i used to think my religion was the right one cuz thats what i was brought up with so i was blindly conforming. but its not about that its about becoming a adult and making your own decisions foryou rself and questioning anything and seeing if you will choose to believe. this comes with age, you are truly free to an extent when u become an adult.
