Take advantage of others' naivete, or affections and asked for Trust, through the Internet website system, as this is ? And this Website, for example, although I understand, this is one of the best websites, meaning the least to cause real danger because it is under watch of community guide line rules.
Do you believe, that the majority of these Users of People, still go ahead and take advantage of whatever it is which pleases them at the expense of whom they try to use?
Having come across a few, quite convincing fabricators of their selves, and TRUE situations, I tend to believe there are many others of little or no scruples

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION, PLEASE?

Would truly like to understand what makes such opportunists tick. Thank You!!!

My dad does not like my mom's family(policitcs and other reasons). Her little brother died in July, and my mom was devastated, she didn't cry much and was depressed for a while.

My dad has lately been picking on him, saying things like "this sing would be your brothers theme song if he was still alive". He was referring to a song with the lyrics "call me irresponsible, call me unreliable..."

Grr... It's making me angry, it's not right. She won't stand up for herself. I tried to call him on it, and he tried to back up his statement! What can I say to make him shut up next time it happens?

This is about a guy I love. He doesn't want to be in a relationship with me but he isn't making it very clear, what his reasons are. He says he cannot handle emotions and doesn't want to take that responsibility for another's happiness. Then he says, if he does marry, it will be an arranged marriage. Well? Doesn't an arranged marriage have responsibilities and emotions in it?

I am going crazy thinking about the "why's" and debating and reasoning with myself and him. He tells me to keep an open mind for other guys. Well, is HE keeping an open mind for me? I guess not. Yet, he calls me everyday, and even flies from 1 end of the country to another end to visit with me. His actions give me false hopes. And then his answer is still "I can't". Then he confuses me further by saying, "I need 2 years and I can't ask you to wait".

Should I just stop thinking now? & just focus on the bottomline, rather than what made him reach that bottomline? Should I move on? Or give this person a chance

I'm 22yrold female, i live alone, i have a lot of bills, I only work part time because I go to school. I don't know where I'm going to get tuition money for next semester, and hopefully I pass my classes for this semester. I absolutely hate my job and mostly everyone I work with. We are all overworked, we get no breaks, and all everyone does is complain. The moral/atmosphere of the job is horrible. I dread coming in everyday...because no one really does anything to change the situation..all they do is complain and make everything worse for everyone else. I'd like to think that I CARE about my job and doing well, but I almost can't take it anymore. Nothing changes. So..I've been looking for jobs elsewhere lately. I have so many bills, I hate living alone, and I don't have anyone to rely or confide in. I'm so stressed out lately. I'm thinking about going to a therapist. Something isn't right with me anymore. I'm not happy, and I don't know my direction in life anymore. What can I do?

Hi,

I have to present a powerpoint presentation for a job interview.

I will not be judged on the content of the presentation but on how well i present it.

Could anyone give me any tips on how I can stay calm and how I should be sounding. Is it ok to be slightly humerous?

How should i stand and what shall I do with my hands!?

Any help would be fantastic!

OK, I'm just having a thought (it doesn't happen often) and I would like some feedback from those who care to contemplate:

It's fairly obvious that most people are afraid of death. Many find consolation in the idea of an after-life. But the atheist usually has no such consolation.

Many people also find consolation that they will be remembered by posterity by having their names remembered. They write books, and donate buildings at colleges to memorialize themselves.

Now, usually, it's the better educated that tend to write books and have enough money to donate buildings.

Could ONE OF the reasons that the better educated tend to become atheists, be that they are more likely to find consolation by being remembered after their deaths because of their life's works?

I'm saying that the educated person may be more likely to become atheist BECAUSE, they can feel secure about being remembered.

(Sorry, I know that's a bit confusing... it's a thought in progress.)

Thanks

Basically over a number of months i have heard things. For example i once heard someone screaming my name and i turned around and no one was there then another time I heard bells not weddig bells but like big bells like in a tower and then another time I heard whispering but it was too faint to make it out and I was by myself.

Am I crazy or am i just imagining things, I'm really scared and it is so real the way these things sound.

Do people *naturally* decrease their level of involvement in a relation as they move further and further away in distance?

The closer in distance they are to object A, the more involved they seem, but the farther they go (as in distance - for eg. moving from same country to another country altogether) the more distant they become?

The call volume decreases the farther they move.
Would you say this is a *natural* psychological phenomena or could this be an intentional shift and the person is not being sincere?

Your thoughts please? I am conflicted over this.

Personally, if a person is important to me, my involvement will remain the same, regardless of whether they are 5 miles away, or 5000. Ofcourse, I wont be able to "visit" them as often, but, in terms of being in touch, I would remain the same.

What is the difference between depression and just feeling REALLY crappy? I am a seventeen and in High school. I'm male. I am in special classes. One of the case workers which visit quite often in here, made the suggestion that he would "like to see me on some kind of medication for depression". Now , I do have some times where i can get really "depressed", but it's not for very long. You see, i don't have many friends and i sometimes feel like my family doesn't care for me. But if i use reason, I always stop my negative thinking. Sometimes it's harder than others. I am also a bit illiterate when it comes to dealing with people. Hence the special classes. The main reason i fell crappy sometimes is because of the strees thst i put up with at school and home. But i think that if i had the right motivation and possibly a supportive friend who believed in me, i could overcome my crappy feelings. I'm altogether a cheery and friendly guy. Maybe someone could give me some advice?

She thinks that because of a minor stalking incident(on her part) the guy and his friends are out to ruin her. Because they were teachers she thinks that they prevented her from getting into graduate school. Ten years later(present), she believes that everytime she loses a job or fails to get one than they are the cause. It sounds like she has an exxcuse for her own failures because I doubt that those people even remember her name.
