I am currently pursuing a psychology degree. I want to be a Christian counselor but do I need a special degree other than a psychology degree to be a Christian counselor?

I have been a Christian counselor for a while now. I can tell you that a Psychology degree is fine, providing you are a baptized Christian who accepted Christ as an teen or adult.
There are many places that are secular that allow Christian counseling to serve clients of all populations.
Also, if you wanted formal training in it, you can either take courses online, at a Bible College, (it's offered as a major there),

A Christian counseling certification, yes.
You can look up a certification course online and be certified within a month or two.

Contradicting point of view is all you would need!!

If you are anywhere past level 100 psych classes and don't understand what I mean.... You may want to ask your school for your money back!

I wouldn't think so. You would need a knowledge of Christian values and restraints.
And why would you not want to counsel nonchristians?
