No, it doesn't. Yes.. many people who do drugs are losers with no self0confidence... and many who were normal people BECOME losers with no self-confidence. But that is not always the case. Some people find it enhances their lives.

If you are wondering this about yourself.. get off the crap and you'll feel better better. Statistically I'm right.

I had a cousin who had done every drug in existence. He lived a great life, was very intelligent, very respected and a very confident person. He could easily stump most college professors with his questions and I never saw him lose at chess. He often used an assortment of drugs. His philosophy was this. So long as the drug doesn't become your god you are fine. In that respect the only drug he feared and never tried more than once was crystal meth.

He died in a motorcycle accident. His system was completely clean at the time.

Now I personally don't want to do anything that could have a permanent effect on my body... so I shy clear of drugs... but I do agree with my cousin on one thing. The statement about the drugs becoming your god. I think it is all too easy for the drug to become your god without you realizing it.. and there in lies the problem... which is why many people do become losers due to drugs.

Hey, I frown on all the 'loser' here.

From a nonbiased POV, it means you are an individual with a problem. If you end up in the clink because of that habit, then yeah, I would say you're a lowlife loser.

Get into rehab, sing Amy Winehouse, do whatever it takes to break the habit. Remember, you can break a drug habit if you've got the iron will and constitution. It won't be pretty, but you can break the habit!

People who do drugs do suffer from low self esteem and by getting high, the self confidence comes up. The same with booze abuse. I wouldn't say no self confidence, but low self confidence and possibly a low sense of self worth.

It makes your brain turn to mush, meaning you will be incapable of handling reality. They will also keep you at a maturity level of about half of what your age indicates, cause problems for you with anyone you meet, and keep you from getting or keeping any kind of decent job.

YES, you WILL be considered a LOSER. Drug addicts usually have plenty of self confidence, but it is FALSE self confidence planted by the DRUGS. Drugs are guaranteed to take you nowhere and keep you there for as long as you use them.

I consider this a double negative: if I have self confidence why do I need drugs to make me feel more unlike myself. And yes when I was addicted to drugs I was a loser, obviously life wasn't enough to keep me going I had to find a "substitute" to thrive on.

No.
It's all a matter of what you find acceptable to put in your body.
Some people don't do drugs, some people don't eat meat, some people don't drink alchohol. All of these things can be considered vices, but the consumption of any other them doesn't make you a loser or have no self-confidence. It just is something you do.

Personally, I don't do them. It's just not my thing. I like being in control too much.

That depends on the person... Some people are highly functioning members of society, and still take drugs...

Some people don't and do not function very well...

But it is known that drugs can effect you and make you loose self confidence and loose sight of what is really important... This is what is called an addiction...

I don't think you can say all drug takers are this, alot of them are quite intelligent and interesting... But others are just the opposite...

Well, No it doesn't drugs are bad but if you have a joint now and again doesnt mean you have no confidence lol drinking is just as bad. but coke and speed isnt the way to go it'll ruin your life and then you will have no self-confidence and no control..

If someone that drinks alot calls you a loser for doing something as petty as weed now and again there a loser as well

When I did drugs I was a loser, but I still had self-confidence.

I wouldn't call them losers, but the most I knew did drugs because of low self esteem. Maybe, they just decided to make a bad choice just to drive a temporary problem away.

My advice to you is, get anyone who is doing drugs into a support group. If they don't want to be fixed, then they can be called losers, because they don't want to fix themselves.

I see people who use other people more as a loser who lacks self-confidence then a drug user. Then again, it is just NAME calling which is also immature.
