I have this play coming up and I get stage fright, and I'm really not a confident person.I'm really stressed out about this play, I don't feel comfortable performing infront of my class, and theres only about 30 people... I find myself very self-conscious and I tend to worry about things that don't matter. I'm afraid to do things, and I get embarrassed easily. I get heaps of homework everyday... and I'm so worried about my grades even though I'm only 14. I remember one time I had this english assignment and I cried because I didn't know what to write and I kind of left it to the last minute - and now when I think about it i find it stupid that I even put so much effort into that assignment when it was worth nothing. I'm too busy living my life in my dreams. Oh and I usually hate going to school cause I don't like being asked to answer a question by my teacher just randomly. Jeez I don't know what to do with my life. I know I'm young, but i stress about nothing! helpp

That lists the symptoms, diagnosis, perhaps even a case study for Borderline Personality.

**It needs to be from a reputable source as I will be using it in court. A web link would be great.

Someone whos obsessed with having control/power over someone who wants nothing to do with them. Why cant they stop? Why would a person actively try to 'hurt' another who wants to move on?

my friend was raped and abused too many times in her childhood. now poor girl is suffering so much, she is very depressed and is self harming. she has nightmares any time she sleeps, so she isnt sleeping anymore.

she would never lie, she is a very nice person. but she scared me so many times with her "deaths". one moment we would be talking on msn and then suddenly someone else would be talking to me without introducing himself/herself and saying "she is lying on the floor" or "she is shaking". then after few minutes that person (roommate) would say "she is dead". you can guess how many times I was worried. but then next day my friend came online saying "hey" like if nothing happened.

my friend isnt a person that would lie to people, make pranks with something so serious. she said she needs to take some pills, but she doesnt takes them. is that the reason for all this? she gets so many epileptic seizures?

ok well from all the people i talk to after they smoke they act really stupid like they cant understand or concentrate why is that? like seriously does weed make u that stupid for some people?

I've smoked weed and when i smoked i concentrated better and was more aware but other people i know act so stupid when they are usually very smart and it's so confusing like i'm actually realizing how everyone thinks weed makes u stupid and messes up ur judgment.

i'm not saying all stoners/potheads(people who smoke) whatever u want to say are stupid cause i know a few that smoke and they are smarter when they do.

But my real ? is if u smoke do u concentrate more/smarter or are u more like stupid/can concentrate

I believe I was but not sure if it was from my drunk father or his drunk father. I get to thinking about it and it's like my memory gets blocked. My grandpa is dead, but I was always uncomfortable around him and have a lot of memory blocks regarding him and their home. I also find I don't like being alone with my father and haven't for several years. I am 40 y/o and I just wonder if this can be determined b/c I think it will lift a huge weight from my shoulders.

When you have determined where you want your life to be in a couple months or even five years, it will have a strong impact on what goals you will be setting for yourself in the years to come. A short term goal could be as simple as passing your classes to getting your homework done and turned in on time each day. Setting long term goals can help you achieve things you want to see happen a couple years from now. Going on vacation to another country you haven’t been to and exploring the culture and sights, completing your paper for reading class that is due in a couple months, and climbing the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and being able to say that you accomplished your goals. *Whether the goal is simple or hard you can go through a couple or many steps to achieve the goal that you set for yourself to accomplish in a semester to a couple years from now. what do you think of this? anything that I could add or change? thanks.

Ive always said that the reason im not where id like to be in life,
Is because i am not naive enough to think im smart enough.
But the more i learn the less i feel i know...
Does this make sense?

I honestly do not know what my problem is, but little things tend to make me blow up. Like for example, my boyfriend is always going to sleep late and waking up late, which isn't that big of a deal, but i really tend to explode and i stay frustrated and say things i don't mean. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to contain yourself? I'd really appreciate it.

OK I married, I've got more diplomas than you can shake a stick at (including a phd), kids (infant size), own a house, and I've got a reasonable job. I think I've got what a lot of people call a quarter life crisis right now. What are some smaller things I could do to make life a bit more interesting/meaningful/fascinating? I say smallera because I obviously have a lot of commitments. Original ideas appreciated!

I'm friends with an older woman who serves as a mentor for me, and she's been acting very strange lately. I think she may be depressed. She's all but disappeared from my life, and she barely takes care of herself--when I do see her, she always looks poorly groomed, sometimes not even washing her hair. She constantly complains of having no appetite and various health problems, as well as her failing marriage and how unhappy she is living in her house. I don't know what to do. How should I handle this situation? What's wrong with her?

when i was younger, i was a chubby ugly quiet kid...i was made fun of, bullied, and no matter what i did to get a girl to like me, it was all in vain.

i was this way till sometime in highschool when i started lifting wieghts and working out hard core. the summer going into college i lost all the fat and suddenly it was like i was a totally different person.

suddenly i was totally noticed for all the right reasons, like some miraculous 'swan' show. i got the girls, i drew in the crowds. i was like mr.cool. now i am 32, and still do everything possible to keep a perfect physic and still be desirable to the ladies...but i have just started to really notice that i am like crazy. if i gain just a pound or so of fat, i work out like nuts. if my fiance doesnt desire me, i immediatly start to look in other directions for attention. so am i crazy, do i have some sort of issue from my past of being undesirable that is causiing me this mental anguish? is professional help in my future?

I just don't understand guys and why they act mean to women they're interested in. Guys...Please explain! Thanks

Why do I have such horrid short term memory? I mean with long term, I'm fine. But my short term just isn't worth crap imo. For example, I could place something on a table and think I'll come back for it in a second, then I completely forget about it----which causes me to lose a lot of valuable things...:(

What can I do to get better short term memory? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Education is paramount when it comes to being able to fix the problems plaguing us in today's world. However, environmental issues such as global warming, issues over the war in Iraq, terrorism, and problems regarding health and personal safety are difficult for people to evaluate without feeling the fear of what they know. The fear can even become the source of apathy. People often believe what you don't know won't hurt you, but it can. You must somehow develop the ability to distinguish between living with a heightened awareness of circumstances without becoming too afraid and paranoid as well as ensuring others don't quickly call you paranoid because of what you know but they do not. But that doesn't answer my question. How do we get people to distinguish between living with a heightened awareness and being fearfully paranoid?

I drive a sales route for a living and everything is fine until I go back to the company warehouse at the end of the day. The last 45 minutes I do some paperwork and load my truck for the next day. I know it's only 45 minutes, but I always feel like shi*. Everyone else is yacking it up and I'm the quiet guy with nothing to say. I barely talk to anyone, unless they say something to me first and I'm pretty sure I've already been labeled as the "outcast" by my co-workers. But, I'm naturally shy, so I really can't help it. Is it such a crime to just do your job and leave without being Mr. Talkative? What do you guys think?
