An interesting exercise suggested by Elizabeth J. Andrew in Writing the Sacred Journey: The Art and Practice of Spiritual Memoir. She suggested “Write your happiest memory.”

My happiest memory immediately sprang to mind. And after that, a plethora of happy memories but the initial one that came to mind held its ground as the happiest.

My Happiest Memory

I think it was the summer Jon turned ten and Gloria would soon be seven. We were camped on Pen Lake at the first campsite past the portage from Rock Lake in Algonquin Park. One morning, after resting up from getting there, we explored the gently sloping hill behind our campsite. Eventually we came to a rock face which we climbed together. I was helping Gloria especially and Jon was able to push on ahead and help to haul Gloria up by a rope. I’m pretty sure that I had my camera along. I’ll have to find those pictures.
When we reached the top we were able to walk along the top of the cliff for a couple of kilometers with an occasional view down to the lake below. Gloria found blueberries and picked them.

Despite being a very masculine guy and no apparent fears or hang-ups, i have always had nightmares about owls. What might be the significance? Any opinions at all would be of value to me.

Have you gained a feeling, not so much of familiarity, but of having gained a sense of FAMILY, through this websites's folks? For what reasons, is so?

If for some phenomenal reason, we were all to find one another, not virtually, but in actuality in a reunion - what do you think would be the outcome.
And how do you think we'd answer to one another (FACE to-FACE) instead of from under the veil of anonymity?
What would you prefer to happen?
Would it require courage?
If so, of what sort?

through one thing or another?
If so, what again, may bring you down to apathy, frustration and the overall feeling of saying : "just stop the world, (i mean it!) i really do need to get off!"

Examples, PLEASE - (of what situations, people, events, etc. which have the power to bring you down, even if just before that, you'd been uplifted?

It's a problem. I have a lot of problems. One of them is that I can't stop using LSD. It's not that it's all that addictive, I really just love the feeling, but I'm worried that I'm not the same person I was 3 months ago. It changes you. How do I get off this stuff?

I'm curious as to why some people REALLY like their daily routines and get upset at the idea of changing them, even if it's for a good reason.

I am totally a non-routine person and have a hard time understanding this tendency others--can anyone help me get it?
