Hello Twinkle. Something I often do when I'm in a downtime is to bring to work with me some photos from home that I've taken. Looking at one or more of my images during such times have been a source of comfort. Another thing I do (especially on Monday's) is to have a placard with various acronyms on it (i.e. IJMOB... it's just Monday ol' Boy). When I am having an annoying customer and the like, I will look at it on my register and say "Oh yeah... it is Monday today"! Can you take some music with you? How about getting some funny lines or jokes that you've printed from the web and have by you to bring back a smile. I once was told: Draw on what you love! Since photography is the thing I love, I think about my wonderful muse and the pleasing images I've taken and light up visibly. Find someone you can talk to, write a journal in your free time to vent out your soul's thoughts about what's going on in your life, and do something when you can to bring cheer to your heart. I know how it is, so keep pushing and don't give up. Perseverance equals payoff... something I remind myself of from time to time. Take care.

sometimes a candy bar or energy bar helps me, but is I am really tired, i go for a Red Bull or any other energy drink. I drink so much Diet Coke it doesn't pick me up anymore, had to go on the hard stuff. If I can slip away for 30 minutes or so i will shut my eyes for a few minutes. If you do this though, tell a friend to check on you so you don't over sleep. Research shows that a power nap enhances peoples performance at work cause they are better rested. If you are feeling depressed, ask your co workers if they know any new jokes, that always picks me up and the guys love to tell jokes, doesn't matter if they are funny or not, it is the interaction with people that picks you up. Hope these idea work for you.

my solution is chocolate and/or exercise - they both help in releasing the happy cells :)
but really, its just a job. and also , its ok to feel down once in a while. but remember you have a life outside of work (or get one if you dont!) - so when you're feeling really ugh, look forward to what you're gonna do with friends, family or yourself after office hours and weekends. Also, if you're feeling down all the time at your job, it might be time to find something else that is better suited to you :)

drink a glass of cold water. Go outside and take a brisk walk around the parking lot, come back in and get another glass of water, sometimes we just need to take a few minutes to regroup.

Just think about something that makes you happy! If that doesn't work, try some chocolate.

Sit at your desk and look around at your co-workers and think about what losers they are. I often am sarcastic to my co-workers I find it makes me feel better.
