You can do the Freudian analysis and go after what it is supposed to mean, or you can use the Jungian approach and get some help figuring it out yourself. I like the second approach, so that's what I'll suggest.
1. Make a list of things that are going on in your personal, professional (or school), and love life. Make sure to note things that are good, bad, and things that have been hanging around for a long time.
2. Note any things that have come about, or come up often in the days leading up to, and on the days of your dreams.
3. Put those lists aside for now.
4. Make two new lists. List one is what losing your teeth means to you. List all the things that come to mind, no matter how silly.
5. Second list: what losing teeth means to society. Popular beliefs around losing your teeth.
6. Finally, one more special list. Write down how your dream made you feel emotionally. Write down how teeth make you feel emotionally. Write down how losing things makes you feel emotionally. Pen down all the emotions that you experienced during (and after waking).
7. Now, relax. give it at least a few hours, but better if a whole day. Review your lists together, and circle things that really stand out. Look for emotions, beliefs, fears.
Usually, after a little coaxing, what the dream means to you at this point in your life will come to you. You might have one of those "aha" moments, or sometimes a gradual realization will sink over you. Nevertheless, I believe it's a much more realistic way to find out what your dream means to you personally.
Have fun!

During my first pregnancy, I constantly dreamed of my teeth falling out or crumbling. I researched, and it said I was worried about my image-which I was. I know people say that dreams don't mean anything, and I think some don't, but when you have a continuing dream, it obviously is worth looking into. With your dead grandfather--I don't know, but am intrigued to find the meaning behind that!

I really believe the subconscious mind (and God) show us things through dreams.
I've had the teeth falling out dream and I now think it was a sign or warning that I'd given too much control over my life to others (in my case, the Church). I was made weak (toothless) by taking too much notice of what other people thought.
Now I'm back to relying only on God not on what others say, I am much stronger, more integrated and myself, and haven't had that dream for a few years.
I don't know about your grandad though. Maybe in this case it was the reverse, and you should have taken more notice of something about him (just a guess).

People don't seem to realize this around here, but dream analysis has very little empirical validity. While certain fears and struggles may come through in dreams, dreams don't necessarily indicate certain fears and struggles.
We know what it's like for teeth to fall out, and when we ask our parents if the new ones will fall out, they say no. But then we see people who do in fact lose their teeth. Knowing that losing your teeth would be permanent is really scary because it would affect your image. Scary and fascinating things tend to be replayed over and over in dreams. Yours doesn't necessarily imply some profound thing about yourself. But have fun with the other answers if you want to believe it does. :-)

In Korean culture, when your teeth fall out, it usually means you will most likely lose you job or someone close to you will. You should be really careful not to invest in anything in the very near future. But if the teeth are ones that are in pain, then it means the opposite. Something good will happen soon.

I had that one a few times but I think it might have had something to do about feeling weak in general.
