Nope you're not the only one... I have my honours degree in Psychology and what initially got me interested in becoming a psychologist was watching programmes such as "profiler" and movies such as "silence of the lambs", I am completely fascinated by the dark side of humanity (probably coz I had such a normal and healthy upbringing), and when I was in high school in South Africa they brought out a book series called "Murder in Mind" which dealt week by week with the serial killers/mass murderers etc of our time... all about their crimes and the psychology behind them... people thought I was a bit macabre but its so interesting to me.... I collected them all. Just keep in mind that if you do want to pursue any career in this field that it is one of the careers that people burn out in... coz you are having to go deep into the sickest psyches around and that can be extremely emotionally draining and can affect your own relationships etc. I hope you do one day pursue this as there will always be a need for people to study the workings of the criminal's mind.

If you are older and don't want to study as such, there are plenty of books and resources ( I don't know if other countries get this, but in SA on the "satellite" channel there is a whole channel devoted to crime and investigation... I was very excited to see this (its new) so if you have something like this then definitely watch!

You should do something construtive with your interest in serial killers. Get a degree in forensics and join the FBI, they have a whole building just for people like you.

Become a criminal profiler. That sounds so fantastic to me too. (watch Dale Hinman on Court TV)

Get really good at it & catch those evil doers.

I find it fascinating too. Go into the field of psychology or crime enforcement.

Yes it is interesting. Why don't you do a master's thesis in the subject
