True happiness, as distinct from the empty pursuit of pleasure, seems to be found in places that our materialism doesn't anticipate and conversely what is of value materially is often ultimately unsatisfying.

What situation would you most like to master? what would you like not just to be able to do, but to be able to do well and enjoy doing...if there is a situation you don't like then mastering this is your goal....so what would it be? this is a hypothetical question...just curious

I already asked this question bur did not clarify what I meant. It can be someone who hasn't commited any henious crimes that he or she would serve time for but in his way of life, the way he treats people, in an uncaring, cruel, brutal way. It seems like there is a word for this kind of person but can't think of it, except for my ex and the person who answered my last questions ex!LOL

How many of you actually pick your nose and then put it on things like a wall, chair, desk, rug, but where people can't see. It's normal and human so don't be embarassed for picking your nose. Just don't worry about society right now. Nobody is perfect!

I'm on a school retreat and I get stuck sittiing next to this girl who has a history of picking scabs and eating them. We had to do a hand touching assignmnet and she was my partner. i refused and I got a detentiopn for being disrespectful. So I went to the principle and asked for a revokment on the detention stating the girl picked and ate her scabs and i didn't know where her hands had been. Plus I argued I had Ocd and i could of went into a hand-washing fernzy. He revoked the detention
Aren;t I clever.

when i was about 5-8 i had a dream ( i wont say the specifics but it was sexual escapade and i no i was young but it was somewat innocent so dont go on saying i was a freak) where i did a sexual act and got caught and woke up. That next night i had the exact same dream except i remembered the previous nights dream and used that info to avoid getting caught as i did the first night, but i was caught a differerent way and then i woke up. Then again on the third night i had the exact same dream and agin with the knowledge of the 2 previous nights and acted accordingly to not get caught, and then i was caught a different way and woke up. These 3 dreams had such an effect on me i still vividly remember the 3 seperate, yet same dreams with intertwining knowledge today and have alwys wanted to know does it often happen that while in a dream, you specifically remember and exactly the same dream another night or is this hightly unusual and does this mean anything specific?

i get racing thoughts pretty bad, i have constantly low moods, i worry alot. have great anxiety and panic in everyday life. ive had inner rage problems that i struggled with along with the other symptoms, all this has been goin on since 15 im 29 now. a a couple of years ago i used to have uncontrolable aggressive outbursts when outside, i ended up in trouble, i kicked someone up the bum. i regretted this i ended up, goin into youth custody, and while there i exaggerated my illness & ended up spending 18 months in a psychiatric hospital, which was a nightmare, truly. locked up with severly disturbed people all the time. ive been bullied & victimised alot in my life, gangs of youths in the street, guys at school, i went through 5 high schools cos of bullying. my anger has improved alot in the present, but i still have intense inner rage feelings. however i get paranoid ideas alot that ive had years & i worry i might have a delusional disorder that i might never be able to get well from?

Lately my life seems somewhat disorganized and hectic. I realize I keep a busy schedule but I'm finding myself, lately, trying to focus and remember little things or things that are so important to me that I shouldn't forget. I was just curious how many people find themselves struggling to focus and ask you what you do to try and maintain a balance in your life?

I have social anxiety. I am 18 years old female who is Muslim. People see that I cover my hair, they think I'm a terrorist so that gives me social anxiety. I'm sick and tire of when I'm walking, people looking at me in a scared way. I'm thinking about just dropping out of this college.

How powerful is our spirit? Can we draw enough energy within ourselves to acheive anything? I truly think that humans are gifted with the unique ability to overcome any challenge. Aside from our intellect, the human will, I think, is one reason our species is not extinct.

We have to have a group name, our group is 4 guys and a girl. It is for my Research Methods lab for psychology.

A name from some psychology theme would be ideal, but any you can think of is appreciated. One group thought of "Little Albert"..we have to top that.

I went to a massage therapist named Taylor last Saturday evening and she told me to take all my clothes off and when she came back in the room she walked in as I was sitting naked on the massage table and she said " what do we have here, a little inchworm? " I mean I am about an inch normal. So I didnt think anything of it but when the massage started, I was on my stomach and then flipped over and of course as in any massage, I got an erection of 3.5 inches and she then said " aww, it looks like a itsy bitsy french fry " I just giggled at both comments. But at the same time, I didnt want to leave because she was doing a great job on the massage and she was really hot. But still, should I complain to her partner in the company? Or do I have a beef

about Steve Irwin, (croc hunter) stingrays, and started to cry. NO particular reason y, thought I was just being an emotional nut. I called my best friend to tell her of my momentary lapse of reason, and she told me she dreampt of him last night. She dreamed she saw him the day he died and wanted to tell him but couldn't. O,k, then her boyfriend returned home and she told him about me crying over Irwin, and before she mentioned her dream he told her he had a dream about Irwin last night to, and how it was weird and may be a bad omen that they both dreampt of him last night, while I woke up peculiarly thinking about him. We were all sad about Irwin's passing but none of us were stricken with grief over it. Neither they or I has watched anything pertaining to him-I only mention bc I think glimpses of media get in your inner thoughts and can explain some weird dreams. Is this just a coincidence or should we look deeper? Is it a bad omen?

me and this guy dated for 2 yrs.we both have our flaws,no one's perfect after all.he mentioned marriage, but i wasn't quite ready to settle down.after that, i dumped him over the phone and refused to see him for 5 months.he told everyone that i was "the one" (his parents and friends and mutual friends)and was a wreck,or so i heard from mutual friends.after the 5 months,i decided to see him again.we dated for a bit,but i have this nasty habit of "breaking up" with him whenever i get really pssed during an argument(he's sensitive and would cry).i guess it was my strange way of getting back at him for making me mad or something (we would get back together a day later).so one time i "dumped" him, but this time he refused to get back together.he started a relationship a girl.during this time,i tried my hardest to get him back and realized what i'd lost.after that girl dumped him(lasted a month),he came back to me.now,we don't fight.but i can't help but feeling like 2nd best next to his ex.
