about Steve Irwin, (croc hunter) stingrays, and started to cry. NO particular reason y, thought I was just being an emotional nut. I called my best friend to tell her of my momentary lapse of reason, and she told me she dreampt of him last night. She dreamed she saw him the day he died and wanted to tell him but couldn't. O,k, then her boyfriend returned home and she told him about me crying over Irwin, and before she mentioned her dream he told her he had a dream about Irwin last night to, and how it was weird and may be a bad omen that they both dreampt of him last night, while I woke up peculiarly thinking about him. We were all sad about Irwin's passing but none of us were stricken with grief over it. Neither they or I has watched anything pertaining to him-I only mention bc I think glimpses of media get in your inner thoughts and can explain some weird dreams. Is this just a coincidence or should we look deeper? Is it a bad omen?

It's not a bad omen. I've been seeing advertisements for the upcoming special for several days now. It's a little weird that you all dreamed of him or thought of him at the same time, but there is bound to be something all three of you experienced, or saw and didn't consciencely note it.

I think Irwin's death was a very sad event and I feel sorry for his family, especially his kids. He was such a controversial personality I think maybe some may have problems expressing their remorse over his death without being made fun of. So many keep it to themselves and something will trigger that.

It depends on which side of the pond you're on. In Europe, particularly Britain, a black cat crossing your path is an omen of wealth and prosperity, or general good fortune. So, that is good luck. In America, it is perceived as bad luck, stemming from the Puritan's zealous pursuit of witches (practitioners of the black arts, they so believed). The Puritans believed a witch could turn into a cat, and of course a black witch would turn into a black cat. It wasn't so much the cat crossing the path that would make Puritans turn around so a cat wouldn't cross its path, but so the cat wouldn't follow the person home and cast an evil spell or suck the breath from their children.

There is no such thing as a bad omen. At least, not in the world we live in. Even if there was, it takes only common sense to realise that dreams mean NO BLOODY THING! It pisses me off. Badly.

It's a very bad Omen! I think it may mean that you and friends are going to be attacked by a giant robotic stingray but I could...but I doubt it...be wrong.
