We used to have this huge appartment complex in Ukraine. Near by there grew this old tree and in that tree lived this really hidious bird. This creature rarely every made any noise, but when it did, the screetch was really scarry and horrible. Just about the same day we would have an ambulance arrive and pick up someone who died and needs to be buried. Would this seem more like a coinsidence or do bird really know when death is near. If it is true, is there then really such thing as death which comes for us?

Someone on yahoo answers said that infatuation is the beginning and it's all hormones. Then when the feeling is over, you figure out wheter or not you truly love this person.

isn't it something that is totally unrelated to true love?

I was at Wal-Mart this Friday and I was looking at something when a guy walked by me and you know how you can tell from the corner of your eye when someone is staring at you? Well I felt that and looked up and to be polite when he said Hello I "smiled" and said hello and kept on walking. Well He goes "what is your name" and of course I was not interested (I'm married) and I politely told him that's not really something he needed to know so he proceeds to keep on walking after me (by this time of course I was freaking out) and he said "why don't you want to talk to me?" and I just turned around and said "I'm not interested" and went to where there was a group of people. This isn't the first time it has happened...I've went into another store and the guy literally followed me to the exit, thank god I noticed before I went out there and went to the cashier and asked if they had a security guard or something and he thankfully left. My question is...why do some guys do that? It seems like both guys were in their early 30’s. It really has sort of “traumatized” me because I get to feeling very uncomfortable when there is a group of older males near me. For example if I go to a convenience store and there are mainly men in there then I will just not go and drive to another one. Or when a guy says hello in the street then I feel like I’m rude if I don’t say hi but I’m afraid that if I am nice then I’ll be setting myself up. It’s not like I dress provocatively or anything either, I would understand then. It feels like at times it takes over my life because my husband is in the Military and so he’s gone quite a good while so a lot of the time if I want to go out somewhere I feel like I need to have one of my girlfriends with me.

I hope someone can help. I am in my third year of my psychology degree and will be finishing in June, but I am afraid for my future. I want to pursue a career in psychology and am considering either going onto do a Masters in health psychology or go on to do a PhD. But first i want to take a year out from studying and get a job as a psychologists/researchers assistant, but the thing is I don't know how to get one of these jobs. In the Psychologist's magazine memorandum section there seems to only a few of these types of jobs available and in most cases they seem to be in an area I am not particulary interested in. How do I find more psychologist/researcher assistant jobs. I have searched the internet with no luck.

I would also appreciate some advice from people who are already psychologists - that is, could you tell me about how you came to be where you are - the jobs/training, etc you have done on the way to your current role.

I don't follow dream interpretations, but I'd like to know if anyone has an interesting interpretation of some of mine. For now, I'll share one:
The night of my birthday (recently), I dreamt that I surgically removed my own brain "for the hell of it." I did it casually, like it was something I'd been wanting to do for some time. I set aside my brain for a while and forgot about it until I accidentally sat on my brain and then squissshhhh. What's funny is that I still had some cognitive process going on even without the brain, but after I sat on it, I felt this impending doom over the fact that I could never use that brain again and will be permanently retarded.

So... interpretations, anyone?

There's a lot going on in my life right now and if I do what makes me happy then I feel like I'm going against society and what makes it "right" in the eyes of others. Why do I feel the need to justify everything I do to everyone who asks? I know I have a horrible need to fit in and make everything as normal as possible but I'm tired of it. How do you stop feeling like you need to explain yourself?

...(and she deserves the trust) Would you be ok with her moving in with 2 guys that she is completely UNattracted to and has no interest in?

(She's in a bad situation and the reason she needs to move to the place have to do with cost and location; she genuinely has NO interest in either of the other roommates!)

I think that someone who steals from me should have his home burned to the ground and depending on how much I like his family they should all be killed. I truly think that a person who brings me harm should have his entire bloodline destroyed. I realize this is not in line with society but there has to be some evolutionary reason why I feel this way. Is this an ok way to see things?

I don't understand what is wrong with me. I really have no friends. I have a wonderful woman in my life, but I feel like I'm not worthy to have her. I have so many confidence issues and feel like I'm such a piece of **** sometimes. My girlfriend realizes that I have some confidence issues, but she has no idea how bad they are. I just want to make her happy. How can I be more confident? Can anyone else share their experiences with confidence problems with me because my issues greatly affect my relationship. I feel like I can't quite be myself. I'm not even sure what "myself" is sometimes because I'm so dull. I have a boring desk jobs, I don't have many hobbies (although I've tried finding some), and I am not a very funny person. HELP!

Today my cable television stopped working. Instead of thinking that my cable was accidentally damaged I automatically assume someone is trying to steal my cable. Now I am angry to the point where I would love to see this thief dragged from his home and gutted in front of his children. It is entirely possible that my cable was accidentally damaged yet I have a hard time accepting this possibility. The thought that someone is stealing my cable seems much more believable. What is going on with my thinking?
