Seems nearly all women follow a similar pattern, carefully and fastidiously choose the best man they can with the most money, assets, friends, attitude, looks and genetics (looks) they can, who is ready to commit. They somehow get pregnant and get married, then desire to be owned and looked after until they give birth. It seems women are so much more controlled by biology then men. Seems absolutely everything women do is influenced by biology. What do you think? Are men more influenced?

I have always had problems with making friends - I rarely ever have any friends. Even the "unpopular" and "nerdy" kids avoid me. I have heard several people say they thought I was annoying. And when I talk, I am *NEVER* shy, and I do strike conversations w/people, but I always seem to be more open than the person I'm talking with. Then after that, they tend to avoid me. I'm not fat or ugly, and this happens CONSISTENTLY, not just occasionally, so I think there's somethiing I'm doing wrong. I am completely being myself when I talk to students in school - so much for the "be yourself" advice.

He has never asked my friend this as far as I am concerned. We talked for about a good 45 mins (he is the school's psychologist), and before I left he asked if he can see any doodles in my notebook! How strange is that? And he was looking for some in my binder. I did not mind of course, but I thought that it was strange. I do doodle, but I threw them all out the day before I saw him. Why would he ask to see if I am doodling?

On the job today I met someone who threw some stuff around. It was totally unexpected. Nothing aimed at me or anyone else, but kind of strange. I guess he was trying to say that he was fed up with his job or something.

We are newlyweds and live together. I love my husband to death but we just can't seem to not argue at least one day. For instance, I get upset because we get home and all I want to do is relax after work. He is worried about the house being a mess so he starts cleaning so and doing stuff around the house. I have helped before but all I want to do is relax and not deal with anything. I rather pay a house cleaner to come and clean the house then to worry about that. He says he does not mean to distract me but he does. He does not say anything to me he just start cleaning. - It ticks me off. I don't know why I get like this. I also don't want to do anything around the house or pay the bills. I don't know why I am like that. I really want to be a good wife but somehow I think I am failing. I don't want to drive my husband away, I just somehow want to be a true housewife. i don't have in me and I don't know why.. help!

I had a very bad experience a few years ago where I lost a job I was never qualified for and had difficulty finding another. I was getting unemployment but was dying inside from frustration so I took a temp job. Long story short: it wasnt enough money, fell in a big hole and ended up living in a homeless ministry's transitional housing for five months till I got on my feet. The whole thing shocked my system pretty badly and I am having difficulty with fear over a lack of financial security as a member of the working poor. Though the fear is grounded in reality, some of it is irrational, nonetheless. To simply climb the class latter and make more money would be a superficial way to try to deal with the fear, so other than that...any advice?

For example, would it then follow that people who are depressed will always be so, and people who are spoiled as children will be dismal adults, and that this is irrevocable?

Mentally - we have the power to change our thought processes, but sometimes our emotions get the best of us. What would you change about your character that you have a hard time doing?

Physically - seems like most people find more faults in their physical appearance than internal? Why is that when we have more power to change our character but yet most people spend more time on worrying about the outside? Anyways, what would you change about yourself physically?

Now the hard question. Why would you change these things?

I'm kind of stuck in a rut with career and academics. I currently have a BS in engineering and have considered returning to college to obtain my Masters degree. Maybe I'll go with an MBA, as it would coincide very nicely with my experience, however it is tempting to continue on with a MS in my engineering field. On the other hand, I could always take the state exam that will eventually lead to being licensed as a professional engineer. I'll just need to bone up on my mathematics, as it's been awhile since I was in school.

The problem is that I have difficulty in applying myself. It is unlikely that I'll ever advance in my current position, yet in order to receive a better job, I feel the need to improve myself. Any time that I attempt to focus or study, I start getting headaches and find that I'm unable to concentrate. I do have the intelligence to do either of these, but it seems that I no longer have the drive. Any suggestions?

My friend said she 'felt a presence' in her house that spooked her.

Why do you think people let their imaginations run away with themselves like that?
