He has never asked my friend this as far as I am concerned. We talked for about a good 45 mins (he is the school's psychologist), and before I left he asked if he can see any doodles in my notebook! How strange is that? And he was looking for some in my binder. I did not mind of course, but I thought that it was strange. I do doodle, but I threw them all out the day before I saw him. Why would he ask to see if I am doodling?

What did I draw? I drew a picture of Dimmesdale from the Scarlet Letter, then I drew a picture of a broom stick that said (thinspo) which is a mockery of anorexics, and I drew a bunch of anorexics measuring themselves crying "why arne't we like Broom?" Does that make me crazy or something?

Some of the other answers are being a little overly-dramatic.

There's a lot of things he could learn from your doodles. What we draw and how we draw it often reflects our feelings and attitudes in a lot of ways.

If you had drawn yourself and other people, the relative sizes of you and those others would speak volumes, for example, if you felt insignificant.

Or how you draw the people you draw gives clues about how you see yourself and others. (Drawing people with no mouths, for instance, suggesting lack of communication -- stuff like that.)

You drew stuff about anorexia (but your Additional Details aren't visible in this screen, unfortunately, so I don't remember exactly what you said). Is that a problem for you?

Anyway, he wasn't necessarily looking for blood and gore, as others have suggested, but just more information about what's going on in your head and with your feelings.

It's not about your being crazy, but perhaps you haven't been forthcoming with him, and he wants more information.

(I can't get rid of Willow's line in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "I do doodle, but you do doodle, too!")

Not to fear. It's a normal thing for a psychologist to want to see what and how you draw. It's just another way of understanding how you are and what's on your mind.

Those doodles are good info to a psychologist. They help him build up a psychological profile of you. When you doodle, you are probably not thinking much consciously, but another part of your brain is working and influencing what those doodles are gonna be!

To see if you are drawing something that resembles your thoughts. Are you drawing something dark like a guy with a bullet threw his head, or a sun with a big smile shining through? Are you showing signs of hurting yourself or rage toward others? Stuff like that.
My son used to draw people figures and make scars on their faces and stuff. The school kept them in his permanent record as if that meant he was emotionally hurting. But really he was collecting those garbage pail kids or whatever they were and drawing that.

If you mentioned that you had been doodling, then he would probably ask to see it, especially if you hadn't been very forthcoming while speaking with him. Same as if you said you wrote in a journal you carry around with you. He'd ask to see it. It's normal, relax.

Some people like to take their emotions out in their drawings and some drawings can get detailed and depressing. just like some people wright to get their feelings out some people draw and somethings can be satanic i guess. he probably heard from someone that you had some drawings and wanted to make sure they weren't depressing. he was just looking out for you that's all.

Just to see what you are drawing--is it hurtful to you or others things like that....but its always up to you what you want them to know...its a mind thing...my therapist looked at my journal all the time np bc no one else saw or heard about it...but he would probably tell your parents if it was something really bad..seeing hes with the school...Good luck

Sometimes pictures that people draw reveal more of their feeling or things that they are thinking about.

My guess is, someone saw the drawings and was worried about you (misinterpreted the anorexia drawings maybe?) and told him.

Our doodles show what our unconscious mind is thinking.
