Consider it from this angle: is it possible to love all your children at once? Is it possible to love both your parents at once? Of course. I beleive it is entirely possible to love two people at once, but that this is not the way we have been socialised to behave in romantic relationships, drummed into us by various media, romantic novels, and the church. Adultery is not a new story, it has existed as long as monogomous relationships, as people try and fail to match their romantic ideals with the practical reality of lifetime spent with one person. And I don't think one love detracts from another, as I don't think it is a finite resource.

Well only if u are a confused person and you don't know what you want. Most people will think about it and make a choice. you on the othere hand seem like you don't know how to make a choice cause you let both into your heart.

Partially it depends on how you define love. But generally I would go with love being that you care about someone enough to sacrifice of yourself to better them or help them in some way. In essence, a parent could use all the money they made at a job to buy food and clothing for themselves, but because of love they give some to their children (and usually more than they take themselves) for their food and clothing. This helps the person who made the money in no real way, but it is done anyway.

Or in the case of a husband and wife. One may have a problem they need help with. Now the other one could use this time on themselves, but out of love they give that time that could be spent on themselves to the other person. You basically get the idea of what I'm trying to say here.

So in essence, to be in love with two people you basically want to give of yourself to both of them (and truthfully to have them give of themselves to you). Unfortunately, there are other feelings involved here, mostly jealousy. Each one would probably want to be the only one you rely on, and also fear they may not be able to rely on you (since you may be there for the other person at the time they need of you). So you need to make a choice here.

I sort of went through it, but not in the way you think. I had fallen in love with one girl, but she and I broke up. I was still in love with her, but she married someone else. I tried dating after that, and found a great girl I cared about and loved (and believe I would have been able to fall in love with her), but I was still too in love with the first one. I broke it off with the second one because I couldn't love her the way she needed. I heard she got married also. That one didn't bother me though and I was happy for her, but I seriously regret not having found a way with the first one.

it is imoral and it hurts.self..it is superficial...it is reflecting weakness in decision taking and imaturity...in the end it might be only the fear of being alone that keeps both relations, since none is so strong to create a strong bond...i was not talking about parents
