As I get older I find myself rejecting more new songs and sticking to the stuff I grew up with. Eventually I will end up like my parents, and only listening to the old stuff. So when do we stop moving along with the music and stick to the stuff we liked before?

For example, if you have 50 years of life left, would you trade the last 25 years so you could be a billionaire and a famous person for the next 25 years (if that was everything you wanted)?

I've learned how to contol my addiction. I've made an expense report outlining where my money needs to go each month. I don't carry cash and always make a list of what I NEED and stick to the list. I don't go to malls unless I know what I'm buying.
My problem is, I can't get over the feeling of NEEDING to spend money, mainly on clothes and cosmetics. The best way to describe this "feeling" is - whenever I buy expensive makeup or clothes, I feel important. It gives me a sense of belonging because I am able to afford spending $200 on makeup in one day.
When I look through fashion magazines, I have to make myself put it down because just looking at things I want to buy drives me crazy. Is this normal? Do I need to seek professional help? Maybe my problem goes deeper than shopping?

Help! It's taking all my will power to keep myself from going sephora's website RIGHT NOW!

Has anyone ever had the feeling of not being able to move when when you are laying in bed? Almost as if someone is holding you down. It has happened to me once while I was taking a nap at a point where I was half awake and half asleep. This happened to me a few years ago, and it freakedme out then, but now someone I know said the same thing just happened to them? I am curious to know if this has ever happened to anyone and what could this be?

And do you think he/she/they got what they deserved? I heard my elementary school bully had som major weight trauma and became a bulemic. Not to say I'm happy it happened to her, but I think God was punishing her for being mean to me and everyone else she tortured in school.

After a reading yet another atrocious story in my local paper about someone dumping puppies in the brook I have been trying to analyse what actually goes on in the head of people who commit these kinds of terrible crimes. I cant come to any conclusion. Are they evil or disturbed...or both? What is it?

For all you people who are familiar with dream interpretation:

Whenever I run in a dream, I can never run upright. My legs get very weak and I fall forward and end up running on all fours, like an animal. When I run like this, I can run incredibly fast!

This happens every single time I dream, and it's been that way for most of my life. What does it mean?

I'm not English, but I look like one, sound like one and live like one. It seems to me that the English think they are very tolerant people, but from experience, they are quite the reverse and only really tolerate you if you "fit in"......completely..... what's your experience?

I went to AA and I really gave it a positive go. The chanting I didn't like, but I keep telling myself it is good programing. When I started the 12 steps is when I really started hating it. My biggest problem was the learned helplessness that these people allowed themselves to fall into. I kept telling myself it was good thing if it was helping all these people out. The thing that made me stop going was my sponser saying that going to the support group meetings is not real AA. I think that is total f*ucking Bullsh*it to get over any addiction a support group is probably the most effective part to help you cope with the world. I have heard of non- religious programs that are based more on psychology does anyone have info on that? Maybe I just went to a bad group or something.
