I admit this is a weird question but please just answer it rather than going off track.


If a teacher said to a pupil who had low self esteem (or not actually) that they would give the pupil an honest answer about whether that person is ugly or not... and they admitted yes, I think you are ugly. This is simply an honest answer to a question.

BUT, suppose that person then commited suicide based on the answer. (whether this could be proven or not, who knows, discuss?)

Could/ should the teacher be sued or held responsible in some way?

Suppose it is the same situation, only the adult requests to be paid for their honest answer (making it more likey they'll tell the truth) Would this make it any different in your opinion? Remember that kid was still willing to pay, not forced into it. Knew that they would be getting an honest answer.

First, does anyone actually think that the person offering to give their honest opinion has done nothing wrong? Even if the kid commits suicide?

I go to a school were most of the kid come from familys with money but I'm the ghetto punk rocker from a not so rich family and all the kids runing use there money to buy there votes and I can't do that its not what I believe in,but really the only thing I can think of giving out are blank cd's for kid to make the own "soundtracks".I know I'm not going to win cause I'm "uncool" and all the kids I'm runing with are "cool" but I want to show ppl that you don't have to be cool to do something with your life but I don't know how to show them.How do I show them that?oh and I'm runing for vice presidant.

i really dont like myself very much. my shrink says maybe we can have a meeting with my parents becuz they are very mean to me. like they are just awful parents who give bad advice and r verbally abusive to me, ocasionaly physcally abusive an are never ever satisfied with me no matter what and are just plain impossible. she says lets having a meeting with them maybe u would like urself if u felt more luved so i finally agree after like 3 months im scared of it and i know it cant do anything good. she really cant get thru to these oh-so-impossible people. we were in family therapy yrs. ago it didnt work they luv me but are not good to me and i hav askd to b placed in another home, but they refuse. my shrink says that i should change my thoughts so that i can feel better. wen u have ppl punishing and screaming at u for things like not having a tan, how can u feel good? im always being screamed at.
