I have been pounding the blogs & newspaper opinion sections with my belief that America is asleep at the wheel, while our country is being raped and stolen out from under us.

I think we are all too caught up in our IPODs, our Blackberrys, our Razr phones, our plasma TVs, our laptops, our cars to really appreciate how bad things are getting.

The leaders in the house and senate, as well as Bush & Co love the fact we have become hypnotized zombies, just plodding though life addicted to electronic crack.

If you really think about it, it makes it much easier to steal and plunder, doesn't it?

Nobody seems to care, I know. Think of this.

If your car broke down and you were stranded on the side of the road, would the chance of someone stopping to help be greater on a busy freeway or a quiet backroad? You're more likely to get help on the quiet road, because there aren't many people around.

It's a little phenomenon called "Division of Responsibility". When there are more people in an area, people seem less eager to help someone in need. Now, think of it on a global scale. Everyone in the world, dividing the responsibility amongst themselves.

"Oh, someone else will take care of it. There must be other, smarter more motivated people out there that'll solve this problem. Turn the channel, Survivor is on."

When responsiblity is divided among everyone in the world, it's spread pretty damn thin. It's a wonder anything gets done on this earth.
