Muslims and Christians do not do the same things so I do not know how to answer your question.

The Christian teaching tells women to abstain from ostentatious clothing and jewlry and to serve their men second to God. Yet, the Muslims are criticized for believing that a womans hair and various other parts are only to be seen by the husband. The Muslims also are criticized for making the woman subservient.

I view all religious practices as negatives. I don't discriminate. Religion has been the basis for more wars, terror, torture and other nasty things than any other reason.

so therefore: Religion is a bad thing.

Your mileage may vary.
