sleeping with a stranger is worse physically and in terms of health, because you don't know if they have an STD or AIDS, etc.
but i know from experience that sleeping with a friend can be really terrible.

Definitely sleeping with the friend because you will always have that thing between you and now you have to find a new way to communicate. If you sleep with a stranger than you never have to see that person again.
