... that we in fact SHOULD use the "- women" suffixes instead? After all, it apparently doesn't matter and isn't a big deal that we use "- men" or not: "- men" means both "men and women." If this is so, then "- women" must also mean "men and women" - or has the capability to refer to the universal - as well. If we cannot just replace "- man" with "- woman," then there's obviously something strange and not-quite-equal going on with the word "woman," isn't there.

So what do you think? Policewoman, firewoman, chairwoman, laywoman's terms. I like it.

One of my (feminist) co-workers insists that a man who chooses to have children is "more of a man" than one who does not have children.

She can't justify her logic and when asked if a woman who chooses to have children, is more of a woman, he laughs at the idea.

To me, this sounds VERY sexist and I find it offensive that I am 'more' of a person by having a baby.

... while its obvious that she's a bit confused...

What are your thoughts?

Does not having a baby make me more of a man?

I'd love to hear different perspectives.

I have noticed a certain member on yahoo always gets suspended from yahoo for doing the same thing over and over again. He comes back with a new yahoo account and still does the same thing and gets suspended.
Doesn't he ever learn?

I placed this question in the Genders & Female Studies section he always answers questions in that section.

I know in the present times gender equality is not yet achieved in most of the societies. What should be our action plan to make this happen?

For example, there are groups that make excuses for perpetrators of violence (he was a victim of a feminist-hijacked family court), use abusive strategies (defamation), and harrass women. They lobby for laws, sue domestic violence shelters, trivialize domestic violence among other things. What can be done about it?

Hello ladies from middle eastern countries, I'd like to get educated on your life stile. From my perspective it doesn't look like you have much freedom but I really can't know that so I ask you. Are there any things you'd like to be able to do that you can't at present because of religious or cultural impositions?

I am a man who enjoys the company of women and have NO sexual attraction towards men. However, I get the tendency to dress up like a girl and I cant stop. I really want to stop, but it is hard and I dont know why I have this urge.

As a kid I was put into a dress couple of times by my sister and dont know if that has any bearings.

One of my (male) co-workers insists that a woman who chooses not to have children is "less of a woman" than one who does have children.

He can't justify his logic and when asked if a man who chooses not to have children, is less of aman, he laughs at the idea.

To me, this sounds VERY sexist and I find it offensive that I am 'less' of a person by not having a baby.

This co-worker is from an eastern Indian heritage and states that "Americans think men and women are equal but they're not!" Yet he does not think ANY of these things are sexist.

... while its obvious that he's a bit confused...

What are your thoughts?

Does having a baby make me more of a woman?

What about men who elect not to have children? Are they less manly?

I'd love to hear different perspectives.

It would make sense if the nun's convents and homes were worth a great deal of money, as compared to priest's homes, but they aren't. In LA, the nuns are some of the first ones to be evicted, not priests. The church is also pressuring the nuns not to discuss the eviction.

If the reason for the eviction was something else other than the settlement of hundreds of sexual abuse cases of children by priests, it might not be as unsavory. But doesn't it seem sexist and / or classist to evict nuns, not priests, for the payoff of sexual abuse cases that were perpetuated by priests?

Nuns' Evictions Pose Perception Problem for Catholic Church:

Apparently from what I've heard, there are a lot of single women these days who actually seek out married or involved men to date. Because they "just wanna have fun." No commitment. So they get with an already involved man. . . Real classy there ladies. Anyway! I've heard of another grwoing trend. Suing for "alienation of affection?" Basically wives sue their husband girlfriends for messing with their men and ruing their families. And the amounts some of these women win are HUGE!

What do you think of this ladies? I kind of think its a good thing. People are too damn bold and narcisistic these days. We need a wake up call!

Maybe this will wake people up. . . Probably won't though.

Thoughts?

I feel my most invincible when I honour the wilder or more feared aspects of our feminine nature. When I embrace the parts of us that society fears. I for one am proud of the eccentric, emotional, seductive, intelligent, openly sexual, non conformist, defiant and crazyness we all as women hold deep inside.

Even though the times are changing many still assume that the woman does not have to work and gets to stay home and take care of the kids. And then when the two get divorced she has no skills to maintain a job and hubby must support her with spousal support. On top of that she gets the kids because she is established as primary care giver and therefore she gets more money.
So is it not the best thing for the woman to have a job just in case she needs to support her self later?

A poster just asked if women understood how men feel about sex.

So do you know how women feel about sex? Some men on this forum suggest, in part, that women consider sex as a bargaining tool to get what they want out of the man, or that some women don’t enjoy sex and are mostly just consenting to having sex with you, while others suggest that feminists are all man-haters.

Guys, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Women dig it just as much, if not more, as the man does.

Please give us your opinions. I’d like to know how YOU think we feel about sex.
